Job Hunt

Hey guys, this is my first time writing a NALU fanfic. Hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 1. Job Hunt

Lucy's POV

"Hey Levy," I said enthusiastically as I walk into the guild.

"Hey Lue, what's up," Levy said

"Ugh same thing as always, I'm running low on money." It's been about three weeks since Natsu and I had gone on a job together, and I wasted most of the reward money on feeding Natsu and Happy.

"Why don't you ask Natsu to go on a job with you?" Levy said with kinda of a devious smile. Sometimes I don't know what she is thinking with that smile, it's kinda creepy.

"I would ask him but every time he comes along he always ends up doing most of the work." I said, looking down at my finger nails, picking at them.
Before Levy could get another word out something came flying across the room hitting me in the face. It was Grays boxers.

"EWE, GET THESE OFF." I squealed

"Hey ice prick where is your clothes," Natsu said laughing a bit.

"What was that flame brain," Gray head butting Natsu.

"Gray your clothes," Mira exclaimed while cleaning some dishes.
Seriously, those two are always picking a fight with each other so early in the morning. It was cut short after Natsu punched Gray so hard, he flew into Erza's strawberry cake. They both ended up suffering at that point. Soon after Natsu came to the table Levy and I were sitting at.

"Natsu, do you always have to fight so early in the morning?" I was kind of annoyed at the fact I didn't have a solution to my money problem.

"It's not my fault he's the one who started it, but anyway what were you two talking about."

"Lue and I were just talking about how she needs money to pay rent this month." Levy said

"Well let's go on a job," he said giving his famous smile. I really loved when he smiled like that, something about it makes me blush a little. Soon after his smile, I realized he was pulling me to the request board.

"How about this one, it give 500,000 jewel and all we have to do is find a rare plant in the Mayberry Forest with red and white leaves." It didn't sound bad, but that particular forest gives me chills. There's a lot of upper class monsters in that forest.

"Sure, it sounds like fun and we will be back in a few days." Natsu grinned, running to Mira to tell her that we are taking that job.

He can act so childish sometimes but for some reason I find it kinda cute. Wait what are you thinking Lucy, you can't possibly like Natsu. He is so immature, stubborn, and most or the time pretty dense.

"What job are you two going on?" Gray ask with only pants on.

"Gray your clothes, but we are going to Mayberry Forest to find a rare plant."

"Sounds interesting, plus that forest has some pretty nasty monsters and I don't want flame brain getting all the fun," he said.

"Yes, it does sound interesting. I will assist you on this job," Erza said. Sending chills down my spin since she came out of no where.

"Alright we will head out tomorrow morning. Everyone meet at the train station no later then 9," Erza said heading out of the guild.

"I will see you guys tomorrow, I'm going to save my magic energy for tomorrow just in case a monster comes out." Gray said

After that I headed home to rest too.

NATSU'S POV

I walked down the streets of Magnolia with my hands on my head.

"Hey Natsu what are you thinking about?" Happy asked flying next to me.

"Well I know this hill in Mayberry Forest and at night when the stars come out, it feels like you can touch the stars." I said thinking about how much Lucy would probably like to see that

"So your thinking about taking Lucy up there because you llllliiiiikkkkkeee heeerrr," Happy said mocking me flying around in a circle.

"Shut it Happy, I wanted to take her just to show her but now Gray and Erza are going. It's going to ruin the surprise." I said taking my hands off my head

"Well why don't you take her up there when everyone is sleeping?" I smiled thinking that Happy is a genius. I ran home waiting to surprise Lucy when we get to Mayberry Forest.
