It Wasn't "One of Those Days"

Today when I woke up I knew it wasn't going to be one of those "normal school days" (we all know how "normal" school days can get). It was going to be one of those OhMyGoldfishICantBeleveTheresSchoolTodayImSoExctied days. It was hard to understand why. I reached over to my nightstand and turned my alarm clock off.

"Five-forty, Wednesday, November 5th," I read to my self.

My room was painted my two favorite colors, black and red. (And no I'm not one of those goths who wear to much black make-up or whatever).

I got up out of my bed to go text my friends. Our text this morning went something like this:

Ember Dowel: What's the forecast for you guys?
(Yes, Ember is me.)

Caprice Yazmin: I believe it's going to be ANOTHER NORMAL SCHOOL DAY! -_- *yawn* I didn't sleep well. I've been stressing over my stupid math exams for today.

Sierra Isobel: Yup! And that's why Ember and I are taking "advanced math". :P I'm not good at it though.

Kira Titania: Oh boo, hoo, Caprice. No one cares! It's to early!

Caprice Yazmin: fine. Just don't spam me. U know that my parents HATE it when my phone vibrating wakes them up.

That's how our texts usually concluded.

I got dressed, brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, and collected all my school stuff. My alarm clock read 6:20. "Yes!" I whispered. 30 minutes to watch my favorite anime: Sword Art Online.

"I'm leaving for the bus stop!" I called to my parents.

"Ok have fun," My dad called back. (Was there really such thing as fun at middle school?)

I hastily walked out the door, leaving my weird family behind. I was lucky that time. Usually my little brother comes running after me crying that he NEEDS to say goodbye. That's never fun.

I swept my black hair out of my face. The bus was pulled up to the stop. I started running; the bus driver just barely caught sight of me and stopped. She must be feeling very generous today. Usually she'll just keep driving like you were never there. I got a quick look at her eyes. They were solid black.
