First meet

A/N: Hi! So this is my first Louis Tomlinson fanfic so hopefully you all like it, I'll try my best to make it enjoyable to read and it would be great if you could comment on some of the chapters to let me know what you think of it. Anyway here it is, enjoy!

My name is Skylar Simmons. I'm an average girl and when I say average I mean it, I have average brown shoulder length hair,average brown eyes and an average house. The only thing about me that isn't average is my name and my taste in guys who are way too far out of my league.
I pick up my pencil and scribble a line through everything I've just written,I'm honestly never going to be able to finish this speech about myself I'm too boring and telling people about my crushes on guys out of my league isn't going to get me a good grade.
"Urghh!" I groan and push myself off my chair and walk over to my computer to check if I have anymore assignments from college. Apparently not, so I check the time. 8:23pm.
I glance outside and notice that the weather isn't raining for once here in London,from my year of being in the city I've figured out pretty quickly that when it isn't raining its a miracle so always take the opportunity to go outside whenever the weather is good-ish, so that is what I plan on doing.
I grab my phone and keys and lock the front door after me before setting off down the road on my walk.
Of course about 10 minutes later it starts pouring down with rain, so I turn to start running back to my apartment with the rain pelting down on me, many cars go past and I long to be inside right now, especially when a car drives through a puddle and I get drenched.
"Fuck!" I mutter,I kind of have a bad habit of swearing a lot.
Another car goes past but it stops beside me and I freak out.
What if it's a kidnapper or a murderer?!
"Hey love,are you okay? I saw that idiot splash you." I suppose he seems nice enough. I smile at him,He's kinda cute,with brown hair in a messy quiff,green/blue eyes and he's quite short but taller than me.
"Yeah thanks I suppose I should have expected it but I'm still getting used to London." The boy smirks at me and I suddenly feel really comfortable being around him,I don't think he's a murderer.
"So you haven't been in London for long?" I shake my head and then gasp.
"Sorry I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Skylar." I hold out a hand for him to shake and he takes it.
"I'm Louis, and I only moved three years ago so I'm newish here too." I smile at him and then I remember that it's pouring down and we're just standing here introducing ourselves, in the rain that I seem to have forgotten about.
"Um it was nice to meet you,and thank you for being concerned about me but I should get back home since its you know raining a bit." Louis laughs and then his eyes widen.
"Wait! Since its raining at least let me drive you home?" His eyes go big and I can't say no to that face.
"Oh okay then but I owe you one." Louis nods with a grin on his face and he opens the door for me,and I gladly get into his car.
Wow if he was a kidnapper I'd be a easy target,I mean I jut got into his car straight away for God sakes!
"So what brung you to London?" He asks and I frown.
"Um University?" I say and he laughs at my unsureness.
"I guess I wanted to get away from Doncaster,that's where I come from its a tiny town you probably wouldn't-"
"No way! I'm from Doncaster!" He cuts me off and a wide grin spreads across my face.
"So I'm guessing you moved to a big city to get away from the quietness?" The boy frowns at me and then looks straight ahead,not speaking for a few seconds.
"Actually I'd love to go back there." When Louis finally speaks it's barely audible.
"Um what do you mean?" He shakes his head and let's put a deep breath.
"Don't worry love,sorry but I moved here because of family." I nod and place my hand on top of his.
"You wanted to be closer to family?" Louis frowns again and then nods his head slowly.
"Kind of." I decide to leave the conversation at that and turn to look out my window.
"Um Louis,I never told you where I live, and we're going the complete opposite direction." I smirk and Louis' face turns to shock before a shy smile appears on his lips.
"My place is on the next street and since we're already here and it's late,you could just stay at my house the night in the guest bedroom,honestly it's no trouble?" Louis says and I check my watch, the time is 8:54, not late at all but I smile at the hopeful boy.
"Well if it's not a trouble then thank you." Louis grins again and I laugh.
"But how do I know your not a murderer and your going to kill me when I sleep?" I ask with a serious look on my face and Louis has the same look of seriousness.
"We'll Miss Skylar,there's always that possibility."

A/N: So that was the first chapter of Blank Space.
