Secret City

Found in California, there is a secret city only certain people know about. The people who live in this town call it: Pane

In Pane they have only 1 school for elementary students, middle school students, and high school students. Some teachers even work 2 grades. I'm Talia. I'm in high school. My sister Ramona is in 2nd grade and my brother is in 12th grade. I'm in 10th grade. 

Here at Pane, we all have somehing in common. We have supernatural powers. The people who come to visit this city often kill people to make some extra money at another town. The people who have more than 3 powers are hunted for there genetics. Some hunters pose as supernatruals.  I thought I was the only one. Till today.

" Miss Priscilla I'm done with my work for today. " I said to my boss at work. I worked at the bar where I mostly had to use my powers to get guys out who were disrupting the place. Since I did that I had to do 2 things at work:

Settle at 2 powers to use there

Make sure there was an average of at least 6 people in the place

" Can you stay late and watch the place till 4? I have a wedding and this place closes at 2. " Miss Priscilla said. Miss Priscilla was about my only friend. I could always talk to her and we always helped eachother out.

" Sure. " I said. I watched as she walked out. I quickly made a sign that said : Open till 4 today only! 

Soon men came pouring in. Most of them were well behaved knowing I was there. I was notorius in Pane for being bad. One came in that was the weirdest of them all.

He had a white shirt and jeans and sneakers on. He had ruffled blonde hair and brown eyes. He sat down at the bar. He reached over and tapped my hip. I turned around realizing all the world wasn't in peace and I couldn't play with my phone for 2 extra hours. " Oh um sorry, what would you like sir? " I said. Then he asked the weirdest question. " How old are you? " he asked. " Um, that's a personal question I can't answer that. " I replied. " Do it for a customer. I'll give you my informaton for your information. Max Hunter, age 16. You? " Max said. Geez, he even had a hot name. " Talia, age 16. " I said. " Well, Talia, I like your feautures. " he said. " Excuse me? " I said. I had brown hair and blue-green eyes. " It was a compliment hun. By the way can I get a root beer and a cheeseburger? " Max asked. " Yeah, sure. " I went in the kitchen and came out and to my suprise he was waiting there silent. And I mean just staring.

" Are you okay? " I asked. " Yeah, why? " he asked. " I mean your staring. " I complained. " Oh, sorry. " I said. Come see my " group ". " he invited. " Sure. " I said. 

                                                          An Abandoned House

I met 3 other kids. Layla, Jason, and Ellie. " We are the kids with more than 3 powers. I can sense it on you. Your one of us. " Max said. I smiled. Feeling wonderful to know I wasn't alone. " You guys hang out in an abandoned home? " I asked. " Yeah, what's wrong with it? " Elli asked. " Nothing, but, my parents have more than 3 powers and a secret place at my home. Let's go there. " I said. Everyone agreed. 

You see, Pane is seprated into 3 parts. Upper Class. Middle Class. Lower Class. I was middle class. I went in my home and entered a password in a keypad. 

We were soon in a white painted sound proof room. It had leather ocean - blue couches and a flat screen TV. Even a Master Chef kitchen. We all sat on a couch. " So what do you guys usually do? " I asked. " Depends, which one of you are willing to die? " Layla said. " What! " I yelled. Layla pulled out a knife. " I'm a hunter. I have all 4 over supernaturals here. Now the boy dies first. " I watched to horror as Jason got stabbed in the heart. Then someone else was bleeding. Layla? " Mom! " I yelled. I ran to her. I looked at the bloody seen. Max and Ellie crying over Jason's body. " He was my best friend. " cried Max. " He was my boyfriend. " Ellie cried. She cried the most. That ay we were all scarred. We knew we were never safe. Not even from the people we loved the most. We usually saw eachother but not much. Till the event of 2115.

" We have some breaking news! People are going crazy in Pane. Mostly over supernaturals. They are all dead but officers are checking every home. " 

We all called eachother. We went to our abandoned home. " This we can't .... help can we? " Ellie asked. " Do you wanna kill someone or risk your life! " Max yelled.  " No, she doesn't Max. " I stepped in. " she just wants to help other people. But Ellie, what can we do except endanger others lives? " Ellie got a look on her face. One I didn't like. 

We went to her home and put on .... suits.

Max had sleek black tights and a black t-shirt

I had a sleek black suit.

Ellie had a black sleek dress.

" What do we do? " I asked. " You'll see. " she said mysteriously. A screen brang up all the over supernatural kids from Pane. " Okay i'll take 10 you guys each take 10. " Elli said. She swung her red hair back and her blue eyes glowed. We all came back with only 5 kids. " 15 kids died! " I yelled. " I told you it was a bad idea. " Max yelled. A kindergartener swung her hand around his leg. " Thank wu strangwer." " Well, maybe it wasn't so bad. " he blushed. We giggled. I realized my sister and brother and were here. The TV came on. Everyone turned there attention. 

" More than 100 people dead and had to die because of over supernaturals. Now your safe! " 

" You know, " Ellie started. She got that evil look on her face I didn't like. " i'm in upper class and my house is big enough to fit 5 kids per bedroom and 1 school room. Plus 2 more rooms for you guys. And, my parents won't mind because there over supernatrual. " " Ok. " I agreed. " Listen up! We are now having a school here! One of us will show a certain group to your rooms. The schoolroom will be in the last room in the east wing. " I yelled.

That night I was reading in my room. I heard a knock on the door. " Come in! " I yelled. Max came in. " H- " I gagged. He started to kiss me. My lips sucking his. His got on top of me. My body was moving but my brain was acting like it had been plucked out but working. " Stop. " I said. " Why? You wanna do this don't you? " Max asked. " Yes but, were basically teachers now we can't do this. " I said. " Uh, OK. " he said like he was confused. I realized I had put more drama in this school then I intended now.

In the morning I got up and went to Ellie's room. She was surprisingly awake. " Ellie, last night me and Max almost .... did it. I stopped him and he seemed angry but satisfied. What do I do? " I asked. " Nothing, see how it plays out. Unless he does something that hurts you then it's a problem. " Ellie said. " OK, now, lets go make some pancakes and bacon! " I yelled. We laughed as we raced down the stairs. The scene of the dining room after the kids ate was horrid. Bigfoot could have slept here and thought it was the most comfortable bed in history. " I lost my appetite. " I said. We all burst out in laughter and ate our breakfast. The school day was calm and we had grilled cheese for lunch and spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Ellie, Max, and I were cleaning up the dining room. " We will be best friends forever you know? Always in touch and always together forever. " I said. Ellie and Max agreed. The adventure ahead was going to be amazing.
