Pidge POV
After leaving Shira in the training room by herself I walk to the wing where the lions were getting a weird feeling that I was being watched as I worked some upgrading our lions. When I hear footsteps coming towards me, I thought it was Shira, so I smile turning to face her.
As I turned my smile quickly faded away when I see what was coming towards me, I try and find my Bayard but remember I left it in my room since I was helping Shira walk to the kitchen so we could eat breakfast.
I tried my best to fight it off, but I knew I wasn't going to be able to do this alone as soon as I try to call out for help it took the chance to take a nice blow to my head knocking me to the floor. I let out a pained grunt as I feel blood starting to run down my forehead.
It whispered something to me, but I was too far gone to really hear what they had said to me as I passed out from the pain radiating off of my head.
It felt like forever when I felt someone shaking me awake from the cold floor, it felt so far away but as I started to come to, I heard her voice. "Pidge wake up, wake up please." Shira begged as I felt something pressed against my forehead.
I reach up and place my hand over hers that was pressing, what I now know is a towel, against my forehead letting out a pained groan as I became very aware of the amount of pain I was in, and I closed my eyes again.
"Pidge." She questioned softly as she moved her hand from undermine too gently hold my cheek. "Do you think you can stand?" She asked again and I only nodded. With her help I stand up from the floor looking around for my glasses that had been hit off of my face.
Shira must have thought ahead of me and holds my glasses up to me. "I found them by the entrance when I walked in." She said and I put them on, as we walked down the hallway the lights flicker one and we both let out a small sigh of relief.
"Well at least we don't have to wander around in the dark anymore Pidge." Shira said making me think for a moment before speaking. "It's Kyle." I spoke as I stopped in my tracks, so it'd stop her as well. When she gave me a confused look, I spoke again. "Call me Kyle it's my real name." I spoke.
She stood there for a few moments thinking it over before giving me a warm smile that made my heart skip a beat. "Okay Kyle but I'll only call you that when you it's just us so you can tell the rest of the team on your own." She spoke.
Shira's POV
I walked us to the sitting area where the healing pods were, I gently took the towel away from his forehead to see the damage but only found a deep but long cut from his scalp to his forehead. "Well, it's not bad just one long, deep cut but nothing that won't heal quickly so you'll be fine." I spoke.
As soon as I was done saying that everyone walks in looking at us both before seeing the blood on his forehead, they were quick to question us, but Pidge gets straight to the point telling them that he had been attacked but didn't know what they had wanted since they only spoke to him right before he passed out.
We all sat there in shock since I didn't question him, I was also shocked by this. "Luckly Shira was on her way to me so I don't think I lost too much blood from this." He spoke smiling at me I feel my heart skip a beat when he smiled at me.
It was short living as Alluren ran in telling us that we were under attack. I shot up from where I was sitting to look at everyone. "You heard him head to your lions and fast." I instructed. I kept my eye on Kyle as we all ran to our lions after putting out suits on and fly out to see how many there were.
I was shocked to see how many there were, and I tried my best to keep close to Kyle, but we somehow got separated and when I saw him surrounded by many ships, I tried to get to him, but it was too late he was hit. "KYLE." I cried out. It was like I shut off for a few minutes there as I stare at his lion not moving.
It was like all time had stopped just for us as I feel my eyes watering and some tears falling down my cheeks. "Sh-...Shira!" Kathy's voice yelled through our helmets as it seemed to snap me out of my trance, and I look at her lion next to mine. I didn't think twice about what to do next.
"Kathy your lion is the fastest go guard Pidges lion until they come back online okay." I said sternly. "You got it Shira." Kathy said and I watched her red lion race over to Kyle's lion to protect it and I now kept my eyes on the remaining ships.
When I saw Kathy's lion next to mine once again, I knew Kyle was up and fighting again, it made me smile and when we saw them fleeing, we all headed back to the ship to celebrate our win. As we celebrated Hannah had noticed something missing.
"Guys are we not missing a curtain boy always dressed in green." She said looking very worried only then did I notice it as well but didn't freak out at first. "Maybe he's just with the lions like he always is how about we go check on him." I suggested.
As soon as we got down there did the panic really set in, the green lion and Kyle were nowhere to be found I felt my chest tighten as well as my breathing becoming shallow. Before I knew it I was falling towards the floor as the team cried out my name while I passed out in front of them.
where are you Kyle, where did you go? I questioned to myself before everything went black.
