Jasmine’s POV

“Wake up, wake up”

I thought I heard a sound running through my head, I wanted to respond but I wasn’t able to for somehow. I felt like needles were stinging straight into my bones, I mean, every pieces of my bones. Then all of a sudden, my mom’s voice appeared.

“Baby, wake up, please wake up. Don’t do this to me, I only have you in my life darling, open your eyes.”

I slowly opened my eyes as I saw my mom sitting right next to me holding my hands more tightly than ever and I saw a part of her that I’ve never seen before in my entire life. She’s actually CRYING! Well maybe I’m a little bit overreact but really, my mom, crying, not a good combination. She’s more likely to be those successful business woman who are too busy for their work and it’s actually work, work all the time. Not that I care but that’s who she is, never care about her daughter and I actually thought she’d choose work over me.

“W…why are you h…h..here mom? - I asked

“No, don’t talk, you’re still unconscious after that overdose you’ve gotten. Just rest and don’t say anything”

Yes I do need some rest but wait, what? OVERDOSE?!? I know I haven’t been a good girl and got drunk all the time but I wasn’t planning on getting any drugs. At least that’s what I think but look like it’s not anymore, oh god, I’m seriously in big trouble right now.

“And don’t think because you’re lying in hospital would get you out of trouble miss. Your face appeared everywhere on the front cover of the New York Times, you didn’t respect us and ruined our images in front of the publics. What you’re going to get is you are GROUNDED! It’s not for a week, grounded, I mean a month. NO electronic devices, after finish school you have to go straight home”

While my mom is saying whatever she is saying, I’m trying to put up the missing pieces from last night and I can barely remember any. All I remembered is I saw this amazing guy who is one of that hot guy I’d fantasized about even in daylight. He’s just, wow, but I don’t think I’d ever met him again since it’s only at some random party I went to.

Apparently I got out of the hospital the next day and came straight home like what my mom said. After the overdose incident, I guess it has became a big giant news for the paparazzi so they were surrounding at the gate leaving no space for me to come in. I decide to put on my sunglasses and sneak through the garage which it always work so well. Never disappointed me, it’s the one and the only way for me to escape from those paparazzi and of course, my ticket to freedom sneaking out every nights.

I make my way through the door like I always did and search for my mom but she’s not home which is what she usually did. As I was walking, I bump into Kaitlyn (my maid) whom my mom hired to take care of me and kept me away from all the partying. Giving her a fake smile, I step in my room and oh my freaking god! The clothes are everywhere. On the bed, on the ground, in the bathroom, I think it was too much of the night yesterday. Pull my shirt up, I reach for my pocket and realized there were bunch of messages and it was from mostly of the people in my school; I don’t even know half of them but I’m famous, so I guess I got all the attention from literally everybody. Only one message catch my attention and it’s from Carissa, my best friend,

“Where the heck are you JASMINE?!? If you don’t answer, I’d definitely got angry at you like forever. Answer me ASAP!”

It’s good to know someone close care about you so I immediately reply her with a heart and see her tomorrow at school which I’m so not looking forward to it.

After the text, I need a bath to get my mind relax so I called Kaitlyn making sure she’ll prepare everything for my bath, she’s such a helpful person. I don’t think I ever can live without her; it takes Kaitlyn a while for her to be done but at least it doesn’t take too long. I head to a white bathtub with musical notes decoration and dip the top of my toes trying to test the water out, it is perfect so I slowly slide in and enjoy every second minutes of this. Looking out of the window, I can say nothing but admire the breathtaking view of this city. One of the favorite thing I like about this what I called house is “the bathroom” and it’s all because of this incredible enormous window. It captured the beauty of the whole entire city as well as in daylight; I felt like I got hooked in by the time I first step in this bathroom. It’s incredible how it can embrace the beauty by details only through a thin crystal clear glass with golden rose on the top right corner which it’s absolutely lighten up the complete full room. Getting out of the thoughts, I stand up and search around for my remote which I can’t find it anywhere. Dang it, Kaitlyn must have put it somewhere else while she was cleaning the bathroom.

“Kaitlyn, where is my remote. You know I’m going to be piss off if I can’t find it every time I’m in the bathroom. Come in here right away!”

I heard some fast footsteps, Kaitlyn is getting better at listening every day I swear. I remembered the first time I yelled out for my remote, it took her half an hour in order to get in front the bathroom’s door which is terrible. I didn’t understand why my mom would hired someone so unprofessional like her but I think I know the reason now because she is so much better now through many harsh training by me. I thought it was Kaitlyn who is opening the door but it turn out to be some blonde unknown guy that I don’t know.

It creeps me out and everybody should expect a loud scream from me.

“AHHHHHHH, who are you freak? Why are you in my bathroom? Why are you even in my house? KAITLYN, am going to kill you for letting this stranger entering my bathroom! And YOU, get out!”
