Ash's POV
It was 5 PM and my football practise had just ended and I was called down to the office by Mr. Oak.

I walked into his office and said "hello sir, what did you want to tell me".

"Ah Ash my boy, just in time" he spoke. "I've been wanting to tell you some news and you may not like it".

I stiffened up a bit and said "I'm listening".

"You are the captain of the football team and there are huge responsibilities. You are looked up to by many and you have a huge role in the student body" he said.

"I understand, but what does that have to do with you calling me down" I asked getting confused.

"Well you see, you haven't been performing well academically. You're a student-athlete. Student is first. If you don't get those grades up, then you will have to give up football and you may not graduate" he spoke with a hint of sadness.

"That was a lot to take in. What do I do?" I asked nervously.

"I talked to Miss Juniper and she referred a tutor" he answers my question.

"Who is the lucky person" I respond somewhat cockily.

"Serena Yvonne".

Time Skip - End of school the next day

Serena's POV
I had just finished classes and headed towards the library to go tutor Ash. I still haven't wrapped around the fact that I was tutoring a boy who I had a huge crush on during freshman year. I still remember the day I asked him about the day we met and how he rudely denied our past friendship.

Ash had made his way up the social rankings and I was stuck towards the bottom. Not an outcast. Just not popular. Me and Ash had never talked for majority of high school and we only ever talked when asked to borrow a pencil and promising to return it.

He never did.

But I didn't care.

Cause I was hopelessly obsessed with this jerk.

I finally made it too library and tried to find Ash. He wasn't anywhere. I thought it would be a good time to set up and prepare for him to come. I was kind of getting excited. Not because I like Ash. But because maybe we could start fresh and I could really use a few more friends seeing as May and Dawn were always busy with volleyball and their jock boyfriends.

Time Skip - 1 hour
Ash's POV
I was in the middle of football practise when I realized I had to be tutored. I told my coach, ran off and got changed.

I took a quick shower and booked it to the library.

Once I got there I looked at my surroundings and noticed the library was nearly empty. The librarian was there, but she was too lazy to even notice my presence. I walked around our schools huge library.

My eyes finally landed on a girl with honey blond hair. I walked towards her and noticed something familiar about her. I moved closer towards her and I immediately noticed she was fast asleep with a book in her hands. I look at the cover. Too All the Boys I've Loved Before.

I moved closer to her, so I could get a better view of her face, but my eyes landed on her pink fedora that rested on the table. "Blondie!?" I shouted a little too loud.

Her head jolted up and she yelled "what, who's there?"

I burst out laughing and giving her a forced apologetic look. "Sorry" I said forcefully with tears of laughter in my eyes.

She rolled her eyes and said "very funny and by the way you're an hour late. Care to explain".

I began to move my mouth "what do you mean" it took me a second to realize and then I shouted "you're SERENA YVONNE!?"

"No shit Sherlock" she said in a sassy tone.

"Someone's in a bad mood" I laughed.

"I mean you only woke me up from my nap" she replied.

"Yea, sorry about that" I scratched my nose.

Out of nowhere the librarian came and said "the library is now closed. You lovebirds will need to come back tomorrow".

"Lovebirds?" I asked confused. "We're not even together" I eyed Serena who's face had gone red.

"That's what they all say" as she turned and walked away.

"I guess no tutoring today" Serena looked at me slightly angry.

"But I have a test tomorrow, I need to study" I lied.

"Well, you'll have to deal with it. You're own fault you came late" she responded.

I began to talk. "I guess you're right, see you in two days" I walked away slightly upset.

"Okay, wait" she yelled. "I'll help you prepare for your test on one condition".

"Really!? I'll do anything" I respond.

"Can I get a ride home?" she asked. "I didn't ask for a ride from my friends and I now I don't have a way home".

"Okay deal. Now we're can we study" I asked.

"I guess we can go to my house. My mom isn't home till 8 pm" she says with her face turning red.

"Alrighty then, let's go" I say enthusiastically.

I really don't know why I lied about having a test today. Why would I make up a lie just so I can be tutored by her. I mean she is really cute and has the most beautiful ocean blue eyes and her hair smells sooo nic... I stopped myself from finishing my thoughts.

We made it outside and Serena and I got into my car.

"This is an Audi R8, how can you afford it, are you rich?!" she asks crazily.

I laugh and say "yea, my dad is pretty rich, but he barely has a heart".

She looks at me with a slight smile and says "you're parents are split up too?".

"Yea, my mom actually loves me and teaches me to work for things in life" I said realizing I may of gone too deep.

She simply nods at me as I start the car and drive out of the schools parking lot.

A 20 minute drive later we arrive at Serena's house.

We both hop out of the car and make our ways into her house. She unlocks the door and out of nowhere we hear a women's voice.

"Serena, you're home late. Care to explain".

Me and Serena both look at each other as our faces go pale.

"Ash you gotta go" but it was too late.
