"I feel like we're drifting apart."

"What? " the brunette asked, widening his eyes.

Taehyung was currently sitting on the bench along with his best friend, Park Jimin, in the garden. He was happily swinging his legs while looking up at the bright sky when all of a sudden Jimin blurted out this statement.

He could see the sadness in his soulmate's eyes who tried to cover it with a small smile.

" Why are you saying this?" Taehyung asked with a frown.

"Since Jungkook came, you've been spending all your time with him. Before you used to come to the garden to check up on me and spend time with me but now I barely see you coming to the garden. It's like... it's like you lost interest... in me. " Jimin said, smiling sadly at the male in front of him.

Taehyung stared back at Jimin and opened his mouth to say something but was caught off guard when the male in front of him raised his hand to place it on his cheek. Jimin lovingly stared at Taehyung while caressing his cheek.

"For all these weeks, I saw you slowly drifting away from me. I was- I was so heartbroken. I miss you so much. " Jimin said and retracted his hand back.

"Jiminie listen! I'm- I'm so sorry- " Taehyung was shushed by Jimin who placed his finger in front of Taehyung's lips causing him to gulp and look up at him with curious eyes.

"It's alright. I understand. Maybe... maybe he's better... Better company than I am."

Taehyung was too shocked to register everything when suddenly the other male got up.

"Well! Never mind! I need to go back to work and also help mom in cleaning and stuff. I'll see you later bye. " and with that said Jimin walked off not before patting the brunette's head.

Taehyung stood there, staring sadly at the grass beneath him. He then realized how ignorant he was being towards his best friend. He felt bad for not spending time with Jimin just because of Jungkook.

On the other side, Jimin had fresh tears running down his cheeks. He didn't fail to notice the way Taehyung always clinged to Jungkook, how he waited for Jungkook to get back from college, how he blushed when Jungkook showered him with praises. Everything.

He was jealous.

Jealous because he loved Taehyung.

Everything hurt him. All the small gestures made him jealous. And he was not ready to lose his love.

He wanted to be the one who made Taehyung blush.

He wanted to be the one to hold Taehyung in his arms.

He wanted to be the one to shower Taehyung with love and kisses.

He wanted Taehyung.

At any cost.
