(Flashback)

8th September 2012 my mother and I got invited to attend a mass and dinner in honor of the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This happened because most of the priests in the clergy in the archdiocese are my moms former students back in their high school.

So having no choice, I dress up in my skinny jeans and pink floral striped blouse with the sleeves stopping mid elbow and I wear my very comfy white ballet flats. At 4pm I drive us to the seminary. I park my car to the only parking space I can squeeze my car into, because the entire front yard of the seminary which serves as the parking space for today's occasion is jam packed with different kinds of cars and a lot of people, possibly parents of the seminarians going to school here. "It's not just a simple mass, it's also the investiture ceremony of the incoming freshmen in Philosophy and Theology. They will be dressed in their blessed cassock and surplice later, you'll see." My mom says upon seeing the wonder and confusion in my face, I just simply nod.

Upon entering the seminary chapel, I saw aunt Talia and aunt Dominique. They're not related to us by blood but the bond we all share is something you can consider as thick as blood. I call them 'aunt' as a sign of respect to their ages and well of course they both are my god mothers and have been great friends with my mother ever since they were young. Aunt Dominique and mom go all the way back when they both taught at the same school and aunt Talia was their student. Years after aunt Talia became a licensed engineer and architect and years after that she became a lawyer and a teacher, now she's a prosecutor. Now aunt Talia and aunt Dominique teach at the seminary as part of their Apostolic duties. Which means they teach here for free.

They gesture us over to sit with them. Before I took my seat I gave them both a kiss in the cheek as sign of respect, we were close to a big window with white grills. We can be easily found for we were seated behind the all male pure seminarian choir.

That's where I first saw him,he is seated a few feet away from me. His face is the most angelic face I have ever seen on earth. Surely, this guy will shame a real angel if I ever get to see one.  Right then and there my mind is nailed into one thing and one thing only, I HAVE AND I WILL KNOW HIS NAME BEFORE THIS AFTERNOON ENDS.

But after glancing at his direction one more time, it dawned on me that whatever it is I was thinking of earlier better be shoved into the backest part of my mind and I have to start forgetting about it.

Staring at his direction one more time, blinking my eyes way too fast hoping it's only playing tricks on me. But it's confirmed, he is wearing a black surplice and white cassock with silver edging.

I accept my defeat for he is definitely a SEMINARIAN!
