I sat my keys on the coffee table after entering my crib. My mind was sent racing and I was tired of it. No matter how hard I tried to avoid running into that man, I had to still respect the fact that he let me live. My heart was currently aching enough as it is. For some reason my anxiety was spiking and I immediately reached for my purse. I grabbed two tiny pills and chased it with water. Knock! Knock! Knock!
"What do you want no..."
I quickly tried to slam the door but he was much too strong.
"Cool it" Shon said forcing himself into my apartment.
I was flushed red and speechless. Instant fear came over me as I tried to dash to the phone. Shon knocked it from my hands and pushed me up against the wall.
"I said cool it boo I just wanna talk damn!" He raised his voice a little
Tears started to flow down my cheeks and I knew that my time has finally caught up. He looked much buffer than usual and his head was bald shaven. Darkness danced in his eyes while he looked me up and down.
"You looking real good" he said
"Shon...I need you to leave." I said
"I miss my girl....come on and pack your shit." He said in all seriousness
I looked at him like he was mad
"Shon I'm not leaving with you" I said jerking my body
"I got us a place back in Detroit, you can be near your family again. I paid Vee a visit and told her you was coming back." He said releasing me
I breathed hard and tried to swallow but to no avail. I had to think quickly because there was no way I was going with this nigga.
"I need h!.." I tried to scream
I felt a punch to my stomach that knocked the wind out of me.
"You doing too fucking much Mina!" He said
He tried to keep his voice under control but I could see the anger spread across his face.
"I got our plane tickets back, so you need to calm the fuck down and start packing." He said muffing me
I held my stomach and stood my ground.
"No..." I said
Shon approached me and started to grab me until he heard the knock at the door.
"You go get that, but I swear to god if you act stupid I will shoot yo ass dead on everything." He said retrieving his pistol.
He placed the butt of the gun on my spine as I walked to the door. I fixed my hair then opened .
"What do y'all want now Ric?" I said partially relieved to see him
My eyes watered and I tried so hard to keep the tears from falling.
"Just came by to exchange the favor, me and Zay was gon come by the shop you work at. You know bring some more revenue up in there. I remember you telling me you cut hair too." He said
"I do" I nodded
"Mina you good?" He asked curiously
He could tell something was off about me, I saw it in his face.
"I'm fine" I said and a tear slipped
Ricardo tried to look past me but I quickly interrupted by handing him two business cards I had in my pocket.
