Episode 29: The Cloudy Begins

[Chaeyoung's House]

"Chaeng, I'm taking the trash out" says Chaeyoung's granny and Chaeyoung is preparing meals for her in the kitchen

"Ne Granny!" She answers with while testing the soup in the spoon

Granny walks out with a few bags of trash in front of their house. She places the bags but her eyes caught a kitten by the kitten...

"Omo! Gwiyeobda!" She sits down and pats the little kitten in front of the house's gate. Actually, now she is wearing Chaeyoung's jacket and put the hat of the jacket over her head.

Chaeyoung finished preparing the meals and table. She starts wondering what takes her granny so long to take the trash out only.

"What makes her this long..." she murmurs to herself. She decides to leave the house outside to check on her granny. One side of her, she worries that she might faint again...

She walks out of the gate and finds it...

"GRANNY!!!!!!!!" Chaeyoung shouts her lung out... Someone with a familiar gesture is lying on the ground with blood... "GRANNY!!!! What happened to you?" She is shaking the unresponsive body covered by red blood...

[Time Skipped]

After the accident, unfortunately, Chaeyoung's granny cannot be saved since her injury was so serious and all her organs were destroyed by that hit-and-run accident. The police still haven't found the culprit yet but they keep trying their best to find who hit Chaeyoung's granny.

Chaeyoung, the only girl of her granny, is sitting beside her granny photo covered by white flowers and she is wearing all black with her puffy eyes... Without further description, she is at her granny's funeral and she has been crying for the time being. But she is not all alone! There are a girl with the same figure as Chaeyoung, Park Sooyoung, and a tall guy wearing the black suit, Park Chanyeol. They are sitting beside Chaeyoung without splitting a single word... Sooyoung's eyes look red as well; probably, she was crying with her elder sister for losing the only relative of Chaeyoung's family too.

They keep sitting like that for time without talking to each other. Chanyeol puts his right arm around Chaeyoung's shoulder to comfort her without saying anything. It's best right now that they don't talk about anything but she has to be comforted from him. She looks very pale! Like she hasn't eaten properly!

"Chaeng! Let's go home. It's late-night already..." Chanyeol breaks the silent by his low-tone voice. He looks sad seeing Chaeyoung depressed like this for days. He knows how it hurts to lose a loved one in the family since he also lost his father years ago too so he has to be there for her.

Chaeyoung slightly nods and gets up from her place with Chanyeol's assists.

"I will ask Sehun to take you home." Chanyeol turns to talk to Sooyoung because she needs to be home too and Sehun is there with them too but he is waiting outside. Sooyoung nods and turns to Chaeyoung's face

"Unnie! Are you sure you don't need to go to our home? You should be all alone at your home!" Sooyoung grabs Chaeyoung's hands. Chaeyoung shakes her head slightly. She cannot bring herself going to their mansion yet... She is still haunted by their house although their parents haven't come back home yet...

They all left the funeral. Sehun assists Sooyoung home while Chanyeol drives Chaeyoung home in his car. On the way, Chaeyoung and Chanyeol don't bother to say a single word... No words can describe how tension they are in now! Without noticing, Chaeyoung falls asleep in the car eventually. She hasn't slept for days but crying all the time and Chanyeol breaks his heart seeing her like this too.

They arrived at Chaeyoung's house. Chanyeol turns and sees her sleeping peacefully with her puffy eyes. He sighs and pats her hair softly... He opens his sided door and then opens her sided door... He carries her in bridal style from his car into her house. He opens the door silently avoiding waking her up. He heads to her bedroom that he is familiar with where it is. He places her on her bed and covers her with her light blue blanket. He removes the hair from her face... He looks at her with his pitiful eyes...

He gets out of her bedroom and closes the door soundlessly. He grabs his phone from his pocket and dials the number to ring someone on the other line... "Oh! Noona! Please tell Eomma that I don't go home tonight."... "Chaeyoung's house. I don't want to leave her alone right now." ... "Ne! See you, Noona!" He hangs up his phone and goes downstairs to the couch. He takes off his suit and lying on the couch for resting. His eyes become heavier and he falls asleep eventually on the couch of his girlfriend's house.
