~ The Xia Dynasty (夏王朝)

The first dynasty from China is the Xia Dynasty (夏王朝) which was made at approximately c. 2070 ~c. 1600 BC. - Bronze Age of China (中國). It was established by Yu The Great (大禹). The Xia Dynasty has 2 capitals, Yangcheng and Zhenxun. The Xia Dynasty was then succeeded by The Shang Dynasty after the defeat of King Jie of Xia, the last monarch of The Xia Dynasty.

~ Yu The Great (大禹)

Yu The Great was the first emperor of Ancient China. He is the son of the demi-god, Gun and is the predecessor of Shun, one of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors of Ancient China. He was born in 2123 BC and died in 2025 BC at the age of 98. His reign duration was about 45 years making his classification of being emperor at about age 53. He was famous in Ancient China for his work on flood control. According to Yue Jueshu (越絕書), Yu's death was caused due to an illness and he died at Mount Kuaiji. Since his passing, people of Ancient China built a mausoleum in his honour known as the Yu Mausoleum (大禹陵). The mausoleum consists of 3 main places. The Tomb Of Yu (禹陵), The Temple (禹廟) and The Memorial (禹祠). The statues that represent Yu always show him carrying an old and ancient hoe (耒耜). Most emperors travel to this mausoleom to celebrate his reign, Presumably named Qin Shi Huang (秦始皇) which translates to 'First Emperor Of Qin'. His succesor to take over the Xia Dynasty throne would be his successor which is his son, Qi(啓).

~ Qi(啓)

Qi(啓) is the second emperor of the Xia Dynasty and is the son of Yu The Great(大禹) and Nu Jiao. His reign over The Xia Dynasty lasted for about 9 - 10 years. He died on 2117 BC. Before Qi became sovereign. Yu never wanted Qi to be king. Instead, he wanted to pass the throne to Gao Yao, Yu's minister of justice. Unfortunately, Gao passed away and Yu had another decision to pass the throne to Yi (Also known as Boyi). A person who has been Yu's companion for 13 years fighting floods and a person elected as The Minister of Animal Husbandry. But because of Yu's great influence to the Xia. Citizens of Xia chose to vote for Qi as monarch instead of Boyi. So sadly, Boyi gave up his candidacy and passed the throne to Qi.
