Chapter 1: First Day Of Sophomore Year

Angie's P.O.V.
"Here it is once again." Michael said as we all starred at the building.

"You guys ready?" Maggie asked.
We all slowly shook no. I started walking towards the entrance and put my hand on the door. It sent a shiver down my spine when I grabbed onto it.

"Ready for the first day of Sophomore year guys?" I turned around asking my squad.
They held hands and gulped when I opened the door to the high school! Kids of all ages like held back students, juniors, jockish seniors, fresh meat freshmens, 8th grade brainiacs and experienced sophomores like myself were walking through the halls! All of them had life in their eyes! Just wait until the next day and that'll be gone!
Everyone had their little groups, clicks and squads! The populars, the jocks, the wanna bes, the emo outcasts, the normal people and the geek/ nerd outcasts... that... is me and my squad!
Each group consists of at least 4 people! If you had 3 then you were considered a loner. The popular girls only have 3 people though but their popular so that doesn't matter. I got my fill of them last year so this year and for the rest of my life I chose to make myself invisible! I'm pretty good at that so hopefully this year flys by without any problems.
My squad has me (Angie Banks), Michael Ellis, Maggie Payton, May White and Elliot Gold in it. I'm the co-leader of the group. Michael is the body guard. Maggie is the leader, she comes up with all the ideas and stuff like that. May is the book smart one and Elliot is the technology geek! We all have our roles unlike the populars who are to blonde to do anything except playing with boys or dressing like sluts.

The popular girls are of course all blondes! Amy is the leader of the band of whores, Bo (Bo peep) is the main slut that makes out with every boy and Elena is the dumb one. All of them are dumb but... she's special!

So yeah that's my high school. My 9th grade year was horrible! I knew the populars in junior high and they were supposed to move to a new school but nope! They came back to Maroon High School the second week Freshman year started! I learned a lot last year though on what to do and what not to do like don't EVER trust anyone when they ask "hey wanna come to the bathroom with me?" If you're in the nerd area of life then you'll understand! But that's common sense not to go in there with a popular or a jock! Also, if you wanna be popular then just be popular within your group because being popular isn't everything! Everyone knowing who you are isn't everything. I don't see how some people do it because there's so much pressure to stay exactly the way you are and stay fit and healthy and pretty and clean and always smelling amazing! You can just be popular around your friends and be invisible around other people who more then likely won't accept you as an individual!

Last year my squad lost a girl to the populars when we did this voting thing on who is gonna push themselves into the popular atmosphere! That girl is Bo! They changed her look her walk her talk her personality! Everything. I'm surprised she isn't a mother yet! Let's play it safe and just say that!

One reason I love my squad is that we stay popular inside our little bubble and we don't worry about being popular outside of it! Cuz let's be honest... That is a scary world of teenagers and hormones!
