Loren's POV:

It's been four months since the Cullens came to stay with us. It's been great having them around. However, Laurent still tried to mess with me but thankfully Emmett and Jasper would both step in before he got physical and tried to hurt me. Carlisle and Esme know what he was doing and disapproved, trying to get me to tell my sisters but accepted my choice of not doing so because Irina wouldn't believe me what-so-ever. Anyways, I was walking through the woods after hunting for the week when I heard someone on the phone.

"Have you stopped by the bastards place that killed James?" I heard a woman's murderous voice over the phone.

"Actually, my dear friend, the Cullens are here in Alaska with me. They've been taking residence with the Denali Clan." I heard Laurent say, and it was like I could feel his smirk from here.

"And you didn't think that specific information would be useful?!" The woman hissed.

"Well now you know. But since the Cullens will know what you are planning, how can I help?" Laurent asked.

"And this is why you're my best friend. I want you to kill Isabella Swan, I want to make Cullen feel the pain I felt when he took away my James!"

"And you will my friend, just have patients. However, I can't just up and leave now. The Denali's and Cullens will be suspicious. But I promise, James will be avenged." And with that Laurent hung up causing me to quickly run back to the house without a sound. However, I ran into Alice when I stepped through the door.

"There you are!" Alice exclaimed. "Your sisters, Rose, and I were looking all over for you!"

"I just got back from hunting, what's up?"

"Well the girls and I are planning on going shopping, do you wanna come?" Alice asked.

"As much as I love shopping, I'm gonna have to pass." I said, not really up to shopping. I need to keep and eye on Laurent, he's bad news.

"Are you okay?" Alice asked. "I've known you for almost 100 years now. Since when do you decline shopping?"

"I just promised Emmett I'd train with him." I lied. But she didn't know that.

"Fine! But don't think your gonna get away that easy next time." Alice teased.

"I wouldn't dream of it." I chuckled before heading up to my room until the girls left.

A/N: I know this is a short chapter, but it's really because it's a filler. Hope you guys like the story so far though, and I'll be updating more!
