Their walk through the market it was quiet and peaceful.

Yugi looked around and smiled and waved at everyone he passed as they did recognize him happily. Yami seemed to keep his distance well until there was a soft crying.

A fire lizard boy was making a wood fairy cry when he stole her straw doll.

Yugi frowns and walks over. “Excuse me. What do you think you are doing?” Yugi asks.

The boy ignored Yugi as he broken the doll in two and darts away leaving the little girl sobbing

Yami frowns as he looked around and noticed a small toy stand. He walked over noticed the item that he wanted and took out a gold coin. He slides it onto the counter. The clerk happily gave the toy to Yami who made his way to Yugi and the crying little girl.

“No need to cry little one.” Yami said soothingly as he kneels down to the girl’s level and offered her the beautiful doll he had bought.

Yugi smiles at Yami and places his hand on the girl’s head. Sending happiness and love through her.

The little girl happily took the doll then hugged Yami tightly. “Thank you mister...thank you Light Prince.” Her mother then appears and after thanking them both, lead her daughter back to their stand.

Yami smiled lightly as he stood up. “Kids are the cutest thing.” He said softly. Yugi continued to look at the family. “Yeah…” He whispers.

“Makes you wish you could start your own one day seeing a little one that cute.” Yami said before sighing. “Like that could even happen to me.” He muttered.

“Don’t lose your faith Yami. Sometimes it’s the only thing we have left.” Yugi said before heading back to the stands.

As they passed one stand the lady spoken up drawing a large crowd. “Introducing my new soul rings. They are ideal for helping you find your true partner. Just leave it on and the closer you get to your soulmate the brighter the stone glows.”

Yugi looks at the woman and frowns before he continues walking. Buying some ropes and  other traveling supplies.

“It can even show you true happiness with your romantic partner.”

Yami’s brow raised as he shook his head. “As delightful as that sounds why would you want a ring or a piece of jewelry to decide who your partner is. I think that feeling should come from deep within...then they're your soulmate. It's only normal for your souls to be drawn to each other.”

The woman eye’s narrow. “You doubt my rings and their power?!”

Yugi heard the commotion and hurried back to Yami. “Excuse us.” Yugi smiled nervously at the woman before grabbing Yami’s hand. “We must be going.” Yugi said.

However the woman quickly used her magic to throw Yugi to the side. She uses shots strong blasts at Yami. The magic engulfed him before it turned into flames.

Yugi’s eyes widen in horror. “No!” He yelled. The woman smirks. “That teach that punk...what the…”

In the center of the flames completely unharmed stood Yami. His eyes were closed and a golden eye shone brightly on his forehead as the flames lashed at Yami however dark shadows surrounding Yami fought the flames back.

Yugi as well as everyone else watched in complete shock. Yami raised his hand and opened his, now blood crimson, eyes. The shadows forced the flames back making them disappeared.

“Shadow magic…..only Nagas possess  such power.” The town whispered as they looked in awe.

“It can’t..be..” Yugi whispers. Yami's eyes glint evilly. His aura was dark and dangerous...and so alluring. Yugi felt himself drawn to the strange new feeling. Yami's eyes met his.

There was an odd flash of recognition before Yami’s eyes closed again. He lightly lands on his feet as he returns back to normal.

Yugi gets up from the ground slowly, still in shock on what he just saw.

Yami silently walked over to the woman and drops a few pieces of gold into her hands before he walked over to Yugi. “Now my friend and I would kindly like to continue our shopping in peace.” He took Yugi's hand and lead him to a nearby shop selling dried meats vegetables and other edibles.
