SETTING:OUTSIDE THE FACILITY
The clock ticked. The hands stood at 8:49 pm. You could hear the machines beeping through the glass of the headquarters. The powerful, hidden corporation stood tall and silent, dead at night in the empty field far beyond the city lights.Close to the corporation lay a pristine lake, where leaves would fall and be drifted into nature's shadows.
The lake glistened in the moon's reflection on its surface, but once the clock struck 8:50, the silence fled as small footsteps pounded followed by the stealth guards chasing the frail runaway who had bolted from their sights. The trained men ran furiously towards the target, but every second the target was becoming harder to reach, harder to catch.
Inside the facility where the fugitive has just escaped there is chaos bubbling under a thin mask of calm. The tension makes the scientist turn on each other."Dammit, John, I told you not let him out just yet!"
"You should have waited until the coast was much clearer!." one of the scientists growled.
"Isn't this what we were aiming to achieve?!." argues another.
"Look at it as an accomplished rather than a failed attempt!."the other sneered.
"You are right, we can actually benefit from it."
"Yeah, as long as we are able to retrieve him the data can be valuable." others added.
"And that if we are ABLE to retreat him!!!" the first scientist scoffed again.
......MEANWHILE.........
SETTING: SOMEWHERE OUTSIDE THE FACILITY GROUNDS
It was one of the coldest nights in October, where the dry wind hit you like piercing knives on your skin, as lungs contracted, and muscle trembled, but it didn't stop the lonely one pushing onward. With each new move the different feeling kept it going. As one ran further beyond the grounds of the facility, the building in its sight was getting smaller, the air in the brutes lungs was getting thinner, and the distance ahead of it had become blurrier, which only traced ideas that wandered through panic.
Brutes legs burned like needles clanged up to your knees,it was at the verge of falling apart, but the voices in the distance kept it going, with every new step it feared that it might be torn apart.
Turning his head from left to right,he started to realize how far beyond into the distance he was. He was relieved for a second before he continued, he knew this wasn't the time to rest, but suddenly an unknown light blocked his view.
Adjusting his eyes,he started walking towards the dim lights, while the source kept on increasing, so he picked up his pace. Looking up into the distance he witnessed the most beautiful and magnificent view of the night.
The scene showed him dark features of green grass, and early stars of the sky, that surrounded the radiant buildings of many skyscrapers and tall structures.. The luminosity that mirrored from it's windows echoed the streets. As he was startled by the view, moisture slowly built up on his forehead that traveled down to his eyes, and darkened his vision, he froze, lifting up his right hand to his eye wiping the strange liquid from his face. The new experience rose in his mind like an endless black hole exploding in his head with questions.
"What is this?"
"What's going on?!"
"What is happening?!!"As bad luck would have it, while it tried to figure out what is going on, it forgot it was being chased, until the brute noticed a warm feeling abrupting from he's left shoulder, but he wasn't fast enough until the unknown feeling suddenly faded and instead he felt a sharp pain on the nape of his neck, and at the that the scenery in front of him blurred out and flip with the closing of his eyelids.
