A Broken Girl and Determined Boy

New Kid

Derek's POV:

    I just moved to this town a week ago. It don't seem like that great of a place.  There a cops that come flying down my street at least once a day. People have said that there's a house full of kids and teens of all ages living there. They say those kids are one step away from jail. People say the kids are only there cuz the 2 adults there are trying to turn the kids life around, others say that the people are only doing it to get a huge check for each kid. Whatever the reason I don't understand it. I get helping people but why help those that don't want to help themself and to have a house full of crazy people is nuts. Apparently some of those kids go to my school so I guess I get to see how bad they are tomorrow.

  I wake up for school and get ready. I'm wearing a white tee, black button down vest, and black skinny jeans. After I get dressed and grab something quick to eat I head outside. Sadly my parents hadn't had time to get me a new car they sold mine when we moved, they said for the time being I could use their's after they get done work. I go to the bus stop and wait. Soon there was a few people that started to show up and then a girl came up. She looked sad. She was wearing a hoodie that was really big on her and covered her face all you seen was a nose and mouh her jeans was old and tatered looks like they been passed down for years. When she got to the stop everyone else shifted away from her. Some guy grabbed my arm and pulled me away. I give him a 'what the hell' look and he said "I'll explain later". Soon the bus came and we all got on the girl sat towards the front in a 3 seater and no one sat in the seats next to, in front of, or behind her. The guy that pulled me had me sit next to him towards the back.

Guy- Hey I'm Mitchel but you can call me Mitch.

  Derek- I'm Derek, now what's up with that girl.

  Mitch- That girl is Alicia...she's psycho.

  Derek- Why's that?

  Mitch- She's strange she don't want anyone anywhere near her, she isolates herself and if anyone gets in her space or even trys to talk to her she flips. She's even beat the crap out of this guy on the football team.

   Derek- I don't believe that. 

   Mitch- Well new kid you can go find out for yourself but you've been warned. 

   Derek- There's probably more to it.

   Mitch- Yea, but she's got everyone afraid of her for good reason.

  The rest of the ride was quite.  We got to school and everyone waited till Alicia was off to get off.

  When we got in the school I went to the office and got my locker number and combination. I also go my schedule. There was 5 classes a day and they had block scheduling 6 blocks a day. I only had 5 classes for one semester and then 5 different classes the next semester. And of course lunch. My first class was English.. I hated English. I went off and found the class, I was late but oh well. When I got there the teacher looked at me and said "You must be Derek, the new kid. Just seat wherever you can and let's not make a habit of coming to my class late." I sat down. Class drug on and on and that's how most the day went it was long and boring. At the end of the day we all go on the bus I sat across from that girl, Alicia, I wanted to see if what everyone said was true.  When she got on she just looked out the window. I tapped her shoulder.

  Derek- Hey I'm Derek.

  Alicia- I don't care.

  Derek- Who are you

  Alicia- Alicia. Now would you stop bugging me and leave me the hell alone.

  Derek- Why you gotta be so rude.

  Alicia- Cuz I can. Now leave me the fuck alone. I know you were already told about me so unless you wanna be the next person I fuck up I suggest you leave me the hell alone.

Well that's the first chapter. This is my first story I've written so I'm sure it's not so great. I'm sorry for it being short they will get longer at it goes on.
