Special Halloween chapter pt. 1 (Non-canonical)

[Kagura's POV]

I was in the cafe where Haya-kun always hang out. I'm here with Hanabi-chan, helping her look for a good Halloween costume. Afterall the party would be later at night.

Even thinking of all the scary face I'd meet sent shivers to my spine.

"Ne! Kagura, I think it's already enough break time for now. We only have a few hours to look for a perfect costume. " Hanabi-chan said, putting down her cappuccino.

"N-nani? W-we still have lots of t-time
H-Hanabi-chan. Th-there's no need to rush." I told her, looking up from my book and sipping my latte. She pouted.

"C'mon Kagura, I want this to be perfect. I mean, Hayabusa and I promised each other to win the pageant itself. Searching for the right one is hard but I have to give my all." she whined.

I sighed and nodded giving in to all the begging she provided for me minutes earlier.

She squealed and quickly took my hand without warning. She pulled me from my seat, not even able to take my latte with me but atleast I have my book.

"S-slow down, kudasai!" I stated but she didn't hear me from all the bicker around us.

Without any further a do, we arrived at a tailor shop. It was either she'd buy one or rent one, hopefully it won't take much time.

"Welcome, may I help you?" the lady on the desk asked us with a kind smile.

"Yeah, can I rent a costume please?" Hanabi asked.

"Sure, what's it gonna be? Bewitching sorceress? Magical fairy? Black tabby cat? Corpse bride—"

"I would like the best, please. " Hanabi interrupts the woman and she nodded.

She took out a costume that glowed red. It had so many sparkles and gems here and there. It's back was showing, sleeveless with cloth overlapping on the arm. It was a fit gown with a slit on the left leg and gradients of crimson on the bottom, looking like beautiful blazes of fire. It was so perfect but maybe a little too much.

"How about this fire nymph gown? It would suit you a lot with that shape of yours." the shopkeeper commented and Hanabi's eyes widened upon seeing it.

"It's... It's perfect! How much for it?!" Hanabi-chan exclaimed excitedly. The lady took up a high price for it but my friend wasn't taking no for an answer.

"B-but, Hana-chan, that's... Th-that's so expensive." I mumbled.

"Don't be a worrywart Kagura, besides this is just one of those once in a year events! Our time for wearing NPC clothes are limited in this place." she handed the woman the money with a smile.

"T-true but you can't u-use that again a-after this. Th-the next Halloween would be well... Th-three-hundred sixty-five days from h-here  and the d-dress would probably g-get itself t-tattered before a week w-would pass. I-I know how you w-wear your clothes H-hana-chan." I stammered, whispering to her.

"It doesn't matter Kagura. It's once in a lifetime so let's make this count, okay?" Hanabi-chan responded and I only nodded. Who am I to think that I can change her mind?

Hanabi-chan took her bag of clothes and she thanked the lady once again. We were about to leave when...

"Dear, aren't you buying a costume too? It would be a bummer if you don't have one to go trick-or-treating for tonight." she took the route of the bribing part while I smiled hesitantly at her.
