You wished there was something you could do.

You hold Felix. Tight.

You realize that it's the only thing you can do.

His head stays bowed on your shoulder as he lets his sadness pour.

You wish you could fix it.

You wish something had happened to you instead.

It wasn't supposed to be like this.

It never was.

And you wish it was all a dream.

You've been wishing this for almost a week now.

Every morning, you check your phone to see your notifications off.

Reminds you of the day you turned them off.

It wasn't a dream.

You still don't believe it.

It still doesn't make sense.

You've cried every day since.

Felix has cried with you.

Even though you don't understand,

You find that maybe Felix doesn't either.

But all you know is that you're hurting.

He's hurting.

They're hurting.

So all you think to do

Is hold him.

Hold him as tight as you can.

So then maybe,

Just maybe

You'll hold him tight enough

That he won't leave you either.

Through tears, you hold his head and close your eyes,

"We'll stay together.

You and I.

Always." 

A/N: 

This has easily been one of the hardest weeks of my life, and perhaps one of the worst.
