DRACO'S POV
"Have you packed all your books?"
"Yes mother"
"And all of your uniforms? Wand? What about your owl Estrella?" I held up my wand and my owl cage while giving her a tiny smile. She nodded as our elf Holly took my stuff downstairs. I took one more look around my room and sighed; I didn't want to be here but I also didn't want to go to school; it's been going downhill since Umbridge arrived last year.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and felt my mom tugging me towards the door; I sighed once more before shutting off the lights and walking downstairs. I saw my father and Aunt Bellatrix waiting at the bottom.
"Draco; don't you look handsome" I winced at Bellatrix' comment,
"Thanks aunt Bellatrix" I whispered while looking down; my father put his hand on my other shoulder and I looked up. He gave me a small smile that wasn't genuine as we all walked towards the door and grabbed my stuff.
"Remember your task Draco" I looked down but nodded; I was numb to this by now.
"Yes you can't fail Draco; The Dark Lord is already upset enough at your father-"
"-Bellatrix that's enough" my mother said in a stern voice; she shut up but glared at my mother.
"He'll do us proud" I gulped but didn't reply to my mother as we aparated to the train station; I noticed right away that there weren't as many students this year. I immediately noticed Potter and his friends as I scoffed; watching them get on the train and disappear.
"Have a good time Draco" yeah that's likely; but I smiled and hugged my mom goodbye; I looked at my dad and he gave me a nod; pushing me towards the train. That's typical, father never shows any affection in public; he never has.
"We'll see you at Christmas Draco" I nodded and picked up Estrella and took her on the train with me while my luggage was taken and packed away. I went and tried to find my friends who were on the Slytherin side of the train; I noticed that there were a lot of empty compartments; it made it kind of depressing. It didn't take long for me to find my friends; they were the loudest on our side.
"Draco!" before I could move Parkinson had her arms wrapped tightly around my neck; I sighed and tried to push her off of me.
"Parkinson get off; it hasn't been that long" she giggled and let go; smiling up at me. I could see Blaise frowning at me; I knew he had a crush on her. He's liked her since fourth year when we had the Yule Ball; I guess after seeing her in the dress he's liked her ever since.
"Draco you're funny" I scoffed and lightly pushed her out of the way while taking a seat beside Goyle; Parkinson moved back to her seat beside Blaise.
"So how was your summer Draco?" images of the Dark Lord entered my mind; he was here a lot this summer. Father had failed his mission for the Dark Lord so now it's all up to me; I have to fix a vanishing cabinet so that I can have a passage way for all the Death Eaters to come in from.
"It was uneventful" I replied; looking out the window as the train began to move.
"Really? Well we heard that your father failed the Dark Lord so now the job is up to you? I'm surprised the Dark Lord still trusts you after everything that's happened" Crabbe chuckled at what Goyle said but I was glaring at him,
"I don't see how that's any of your business Goyle" my glare hardened; daring him to say something else; his eyes locked with mine and he scoffed while smirking.
"You Malfoy's are nothing now; I don't have to listen to you" I moved closer to him and I saw him move back a bit; I smirked knowing that I still had some control over him.
