I walked into the room I could feel the tension in the air. Dad was sitting in his giant wooden chair in the middle of the room. Mom was looking anywhere but at the two of us.- How she normally acted when she had something to say or angry, but the way she was staring at the papers in her hand I would think she was a bit angry at the thing she had to say.- She was sitting at a desk at the side of the room but I could still see her frustration.
"Merida can I help you?" My mother asked as if she had no idea why I was here, but she was the one who called me. " Um mum yee called me here." She stared at me confused. Then looked over to my father with the same look. He had picked up a large sword in sometime well we were talking. He rose to his feet and started walking towards me.
"Merida." He said in his large deep voice. "Come take a walk with me." And with that he put his hand on my shoulder and lead me down the hall. As we walked down the hall we turned the corner and went through the big wooden doors that lead outside.
"As you know last year you did not get married to any male suitors an-" I stopped him in mid sentence "Dad yee know I won't marry someone unless I want to!" "But Merida you are already 17 you have to get married at some point." He continued. "I will but when I am ready!" I had started walking away from the spot where we had been arguing. He started to follow but I walked over to the stables where Angus was standing. "Merida." My father was trying to stop me but I just got on Angus and said." I am going for a ride I will be back later." And we started into the forest.
