Its Pikipek! Catching Pokemon in Alola!!

In the Melemele Island marketplace, Fennekin receives some Berries from Kahili. As Fennekin eats, a flock of rowlet fly overhead led by a Dartrix. Behind them, a Pikipek tries to keep up. They all swoop down on the market and taking berries and fruit from the stalls as the Pikipek spies a wind chime. The flock fly off back to the next with fruit and berries as Pikipek takes the wind chime. Kahili invites Fennekin to come back for food. In the forest, Izzy and Sylveon are battling a Grubbin, which they hope to make their first capture in the Alola region. Sylveon attacks Grubbin as Rotom provides Izzy with information about Grubbin as Sylveon weakens Grubbin with Fairy Wind. Izzy throws a Poké Ball which begins to shake only for Grubbin is able to escape. Grubbin goes underground as Sylveon gets ready to attack. Grubbin emerges from the ground and scares Sun.

The battle continues but Sylveon is soon defeated and Grubbin escaped. After checking on Sylveon, Uma shows Izzy the way to the Pokémon Center as the others head back to school. Hariyama is outside its den whilst Team Forest are inside. Vila makes several attempts to capture Skuntank, but Skuntank is able to swat the ball away. They fear that Hariyama will eat them and Skuntank is the only one they can use against it. This causes Vance to drop a Luxury Ball on the floor, which Vila notices & decides to use it. Despite Vance's protests, Vila throws the ball at Skuntank and catches it. Before Vila can pick it up, Hariyama returns but instead of eating them, Hariyama feeds them some honey which they love. At a nearby Pokémon Center, Izzy and Uma are greeted by Nurse Joy, Blissey, and Comfey. Nurse Joy is happy to help Sylveon and Blissey takes Sylveon off for treatment. Izzy notices Comfey, a Pokémon she hasn't seen before and asks Rotom for data which it provides along with data on Blissey. Izzy and Uma agree this makes them the perfect Pokémon to assist Nurse Joy.

Sylveon soon returns after being treated where Nurse Joy informs Izzy that Sylveon is now fully healed. Rotom decides to test Sylveon by pulling on its feeler which results in everyone getting zapped with Fairy Wind. Later Pikipek, Rowlet and the Dartrix return to the nest with their haul. Decidueye and Dartrix aren't impressed with the wind chime Pikipek brings back and Dartrix gives a lecture but grows annoyed when Pikipek falls asleep before sending Pikipdk off to bring back some food. The next day, whilst having breakfast, Izzy vows that today she will capture a Pokémon. Rotom explains they have has a strong chance of capturing Pokémon the forest behind the school. Uma confirms this, because that is where she caught Grubbin, who releases a sweet smell. This catches the attention of Pikipek who mistakes it for food and dives down to grab it only for Grubbin to fight back. As Rotom provides information on Pikipek, Uma explains that Grubbin is used to it as Rotom explains that the smell Grubbin released tends to attract Flying-type Pokémon.

At that moment, Pikipek comes back for another attack but is bounced back onto a power line and falls but Izzy saves it. When Pikipek comes round, Izzy checks Pikipek and sees that it is okay, after which Pikipek notices some fruit and happily starts eating as Izzy offers it a banana. Later, once Pikipek has finished, Izzy gives its head a stroke before asking Pikipek if it would like to join her team but Pikipek spots a watermelon and flies off with it as they chase after it. Back at Hariyama's den, Hariyama is nowhere to be seen so Team Forest now feeling full thanks to Hariyama's food prepare to leave once Vila grabs the Luxury Ball with Skuntank inside but as they go to leave, the Rowlet and Dartrix swoop in and take Hariyama's berries. They decide to get the berries back to thank Hariyama for its generosity which Vance and Zigzagoon agree to do.

Back at the nest, Decidueye awaits the return of Pikipek along with the return Rowlet and Dartrix  remembers hatching the Rowlet eggs which also include Pikipek's. Pikipek returns with the watermelon which Decidueye is pleased with as Dartrix and the Rowlet return also pleased just as Izzy and Uma arrive and notice the family. As Rotom provides information on the evolutionary line, Izzy is surprised on seeing how many friends Pikipek has just as Team Forest fire several nets which captures the Rowlet, Decidueye and Dartrix and say their motto. Izzy and Uma are annoyed at seeing them as Izzy orders them to let the Pokémon go but they won't after they stole Hariyama's food. Zigzagoon fires another net and which grabs Hariyama's berries as Vila sends out Skuntank to Sylveon Pikachu. As the battle progresses, Izzy tells Pikipek to save its friends. Pikipek manages to cut through the net containing the Rowlet with one kick which annoys Team Forest.

Pikipek goes to free Decidueye and Dartrix but seeing Sylveon about to get hit, Pikipek launches its own attack before flying Sylveon out of the way. After making sure Sylveon is alright, the battle continues as Pikipek releases Decidueye and Dartrix. The battle continues but is stopped when Hariyama to arrive and carry them away. Once they are gone, the Rowlet and Dartrix thank Pikipek for saving them. Seeing Pikipek is happy with its family, Izzy says goodbye to Pikipek and decides to leave without catching it. Pikipek looks upset about this but Decidueye nudges Pikipek, encouraging Pikipek to go with them and it flies into Izzy's backpack. Izzy is surprised but realizes Pikipek wishes to join her team much to Pikipek's surprise. Pikipek flies into the air as Izzy brings out a Poké Ball and throws it at Pikipek and Pikipek goes inside after being caught which surprises Rotom. Uma is also surprised but guesses Izzy has done this before as Izzy brings Pikipek back out who flies into her backpack which Izzy guesses Pikipek likes as Rotom updates its data on Pikipek.
