He felt things he didn't know how to describe. Is he feeling happy? Perhaps, content? Or maybe he's just sick. Maybe he is sick because of the way his face suddenly heats up and goes red and how he stutters just shows something is wrong. The way he feels something churn inside his stomach every time he makes eye contact with the boy with hanafuda earrings. It's as if he feels full whenever he sees the boy around, it's like the boy just fills him up with a feeling he's never encountered before even if he had pursued many girls in the past, this feeling he's currently experiencing is not the same with the girls he found attractive. It's something. It's really something.

And it's starting to annoy him. Nowadays, he gets moody. He starts to freak out and get mad over small things. His hearing has heightened and he hears a lot to the point it's deafening. He was confused because the feeling he felt at first was pleasant but right now it suddenly starts to feel bitter.

So, he cries.

He cries repeatedly. Every night when no one is awake. Whenever he's alone after finishing his missions. Every time when he thinks no one is around. He cries because he doesn't really know what to do. Maybe, if he had his Gramps by his side, the problem he's facing would've been solved already. Maybe if he had someone to talk to, someone he can rant about how he feels, maybe he will feel better for a bit.

But, he had no one.

He really appreciates the people that is currently surrounding him, he truly is. He's just really being paranoid and he gets scared every time he talks to one of his friends about deep topics, so he avoids those by changing the subject to something more entertaining. That's what he always does anyway, running or hiding away from problems that are too troublesome for him to solve on his own.

It was the crack of dawn when Zenitsu decided to wake up early in the morning to take a breather before facing anyone. He currently resides in the Butterfly Mansion just so he won't see the Sound Pillar who keeps on teasing him to no end when the man found out about him being infatuated with Tanjiro. He wasn't supposed to mention his little secret to anyone but unfortunately the Pillar just really had to ask those appalling questions.

("Do you fancy him?" Uzui asked, looking at Zenitsu intently.

"Who? What do you mean? What are you on—"

"I mean, do you like Tanjiro? Not as a friend but do you see him as someone more than a friend? I somehow understand since you keep on looking at his flamboyant rear—"

"Okay, that's enough! And I certainly do not stare at his ass! And I do not fancy him!"

"Yes you do, boy. You cannot lie to this man for I am observant! So from your reaction, I conclude that you do fancy Kamado!"
