Dear John,

Thank you so much for your letter! it really made my day, well my whole year if I’m being honest. I think its so lovely you take the time to respond to your fans. I can give you a long list of authors who certainly don't!
Ive spent this last month re-reading some of your earlier books and I can’t believe everything I’ve missed. I am noticing now even your crime novels are filled with romance! The way you write relationships… it makes me think what sort of man you must be, how you must treat people in real life, how you must treat women…
I saw on the epilogue of your book that you live in the country on the outskirts of London. What’s it like there? I bet it’s lovely and quiet, not like round here!

P.S Also we happen to be born in the same year. How strange is that.

Dear Mrs Lesley Burgess
This is a response to your request for representation. You have informed us that your husband Mr Brian Burgess is seeking a divorce on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour and you wish to contest this.
While we are happy to represent you please be aware that it is extremely difficult to contest a divorce on these grounds and it is very rarely granted by a Judge. Unfortunately if your contention is thrown out you may also be liable to pay the divorce seekers court fees.
Please contact us telling us how you wish to go forward.
Regards,

Dear John,

I’m not sure if you received my last letter. I am forwarding my address again  incase me being me forgot to add it.
I was in WH Smiths the other day and asked a very lovely lady there to help me find more of your books. I found two I’ve never read, one called Witches get Stitches and one called At Least We’ll Know. Oh I do love your descriptive scenes. I think it’s quite right Penelope got what she deserved! I’m not a fan of these working mums, that’s why there’s so many kids hanging around outside and causing nuisance.
I was never lucky enough to have children myself. How about you, do you have any children? Oh I bet they’re such lovely behaved children. Look forward to hearing from you.
I will also give you my phone number if that’s easier. I would send you my e-mail but I’m no good at that kind of thing!

P.s Nearly forgot to tell you, the lady in Smiths said you might be coming to Sheffield as part of your UK meet and greet tour! I know you’re probably not allowed to give any details but I am very excited at the prospect! She’s going to let me know as soon as she hears more.
