Chapter 26: Village (村)

As you were sitting on a chair next to Tanjiro, you held his hand lovingly as you looked at him with the most love in your eyes.

Tanjiro looks at you with his eyes open slightly and smiles at you. Kanao just looks at you two from the sideline, and seeing the scene between you two made her smile with joy.

Soon a kakushi came in with desserts on the plate.
"Uh, I brought some castella over. So please clear the way so I can put it down. If it looks spoiled, just go ahead and eat it"

"Th...thank you...so much" Tanjiro says.
The kakushi drops the deserts on top of Tanjiro surprised.

You glare at him for making such a mess.
"Don't just carelessly drop things, you idiot" you scold him.
"I-I'm sorry! W-wait! Miss Tomioka has also been here?! And he woke up?! Why aren't you screaming?!"

The kakushi yells at Kanao.
"You're an utter airhead! You're suppose to call someone! He managed to regain consciousness, you dumbass!"

Kanao was looking nervous and didn't know what to say.
"Everyone's worried sick! I don't care if you're my superior! Right now at least! Kiyo, Sumi, Naho, Aoi! Tanjiro's awake!"

The kakushi yells out from the door, and soon the three little girls came in crying.

"I'm so happy!"
"I'll give you some red bean bread!"
"The catella's falling off!"

Soon footsteps were heard from the hall, heard that someone was running. Aoi barges in with a white sheet covering her.

"Kyah! Monster!"
The girls looked surprised and scared until Aoi got out of the sheets.
"Oh, it's just Aoi caught you in laundry"
"I'm so glad you're awake!"

"Thank...you...are...the others...doing...okay?"
"The blonde dude who left this place the day before yesterday? He's back in the service. He's already out on a job. He was crying and screaming" the kakushi said.

"Zenitsu woke up the day after the incident. The sound pillar walked off on his own, with his wives supporting him. All the kakushis backed away because he was too tough. They were really scared. And as for (y/n), we had to drag her here; the gash on her back really infected her. So we had to put a lot of antibiotics, but she's okay now. The only thing she's gonna have is the permanent huge scar on her back" Sumi said.

"Oh, okay...I'm glad...and Inosuke?"
"Inosuke was on the verge of death at one point"

"Inosuke was in terrible condition. The poison has circulated through his body, so we were too late to stop the bleeding" Aoi says while she was crying.

"Oh...okay...then I must be hallucinating Inosuke clinging on to the ceiling there..."

Everyone looked confused as they looked up to see Inosuke crawling on top of the ceiling.

"Kyah!"
"What is wrong with you!?"

While everyone screamed in horror, you made a confused expression as if your face was the spitting image of your brother.

"Hahahaha! I'm impressed you've noticed me, Tanpachiro!"

"Well...I'm lying face up..."
Inosuke drops down on Tanjiro. You'd be lying if you didn't feel enraged right now.

Tanjiro didn't care as he just smiled.
"I am the man who woke up seven days before you!"
"Oh...good for you...Inosuke"
"Get off him!" Naho said.

"Hehe, praise me some more! And you're a feeble boy! You made me worry!"
"You're not normal! Miss Shinobu said that herself!" Naho says.

"Inosuke..."
You put your hand on his shoulder as he turns looking at you.
"Get off of him...or I'll kill you"
He felt the deadly aura on you. He didn't think twice as to fuck with you once he saw your anger.
