"Wake up. We need to keep going." A gentle hand pushes my shoulder. I open my eyes and see Jongdae staring off into the distance as he grabs my hand. The sun was gently rising making his eyes appear golden. Looking back to turn at me, a smile played along his lips.

And once again I found myself falling in love with him.

He was always concerned for my safety. He cared about all of us humans, of course. He and his friends were sent to save us. He was especially fond of me for an odd reason. He would never say, only smile and look away. His beauty never stopped amazing me.

We trekked through the forest, hiding from the sounds above.
The sun made it hot and humid even in the shade of the tall trees and rubble. I was towards the front of the crew as I tried to walk next to Jongdae. He was always interesting to talk to. He taught me they're language so I liked to practice with him. The others were too focused on surviving or too shy to speak with me.

A drum roll came from the sky.

"Kina. Duck down. EXO, use code names." A commanding voice came from behind. I obey and see Junmyeon continue hushing the others. Other girls were scared but I wanted to fight along side these men.

They were gorgeous and skilled even without their powers.

I wanted to show I was skilled, too.

I didn't want to sit waiting to die or to run.

A horn overhead silenced us.

The air was thick with tension.

The sounds in the sky got louder and slowly became almost piercingly loud.

My ears felt like they were to burst as a drop of blood began to pool from my nostril.

And explosion alerted us to the fact that we were found.

While other quivered with fear I watched the men prepare for war.

Lay guarded us, ready to heal any injury.

Xiumin made knives of ice.

Baekhyun formed orbs of light to cast and blind our opponent.

Kai stood his ground, ready to transport us out of the danger zone.

Suho prepared his art of water.

I saw lightning tickle Chen's fingers.

Chanyeol flickered his flames.

D.O was ready to throw his strength into the fight.

Sehun surrounded us with his wind.

Another explosion.

It was closer.

Much closer than the first.

Someone screamed and suddenly it was all silent.

So silent you could hear the shaky breaths of our group.

So silent you could hear the sweat drip down your skin.

"Rina!" A girl screamed as a blade went through the body next to her.

The body lifted with the blade, gasping as it pierced her lung and her heart. Then the corpse fell with soulless eyes and blood dripping from the wound and her precious lips.

The men began fighting.

We were blind against our enemy. Only the non-earthlings could see them. All we saw was their weapons as they pierced through our flesh.

I pick up my sword and begin to slash the air. I couldn't see them but I could still try to defend my land, my people, my home, my love.

I suddenly hear a clash of metal to metal. I'd hit a blade. I was unsure if I should feel pride or fear.

Before I could finish thinking I felt the air of said blade almost hitting me. I noticed a spot in the air, as if there was blood upon it.

I smirked as I swung towards that and heard yet another clash.
I kept my eye upon that spot and managed to defend myself fairly well.

This opponent was well-trained.

I saw it swing towards my head and I blocked it with my sword. It's force was strong and I nearly stumbled. I stomped my feet as I tried to resist the weight.

Suddenly I felt a stinging from my stomach. Looking down I saw a thin cut the length of my waist. I looked forward and suddenly I could see slightly the form of the force.

Figures. 2 sets of arms. Such a bitch.

I made eye contact and saw it got scared.

It knew I could see it.

It knew I knew.

Suddenly the weight against me dissapeared as it ran.

I turned around and saw a massacre still occurring.

My friends were all dead.

The exos remained, trying to spare some of the other human's lives.

"Jongdae!" I yelled as I began falling, still bleeding as I felt hands grab me.

He turned and looked fearful.

I turned my head and saw another creature. Bigger. Stronger.

I fought my way out of its grasp as I saw Kai running towards me.

Pain in my shoulder alerted me to another slash of a blade.

Then my leg.

Kai grabbed my hand and pulled me as the world turned black.

Teleportation was a jerk. My body ached. I felt cold. The floor was hard. Wait. Floor? We havent had flooring since the attacks began 12 years ago and all buildings were destroyed.

I opened my eyes and saw I was in a building. What the?

With a pounding head I sat up.

I winced with the cut on my stomach and noticed people.

In suits.

Staring at me like I was a freak.

In all honesty I probably looked like one.

My unkempt hair and sad eyes and my body was cut and bruised.

They look English. This is weird. Where's Kai?

"D-Do you speak English?" I stuttered.

"It's awake?" I heard a female voice.

Looking around, I couldn't see a woman.

"Let me see!" I heard it again.

A tiny and young woman stomped her way through the tall men.

She looked young but not childish.

She looked royal.

She looked familiar.

"I'm Victoria. What's your name?"

"What year is this?"

"You speak English! Wow! Where are you from?"

"Ma'am, what year is this?"

"1840. Why?"

I just met the queen of England from 180 years ago.

"Kai? What'd you do?" I breathed.

I looked around again.

"Where the fuck is Kai?"
