A First Date: An AshxSerena One-Shot

First time's the Charm

"Ash?"

I just watched my Pokevision Invite to Pierre's Performer Ball. If I'm required to have a date, this could be my chance to finally have a chance with Ash. Ever since that summer camp so long ago, I've loved him. And as we grew up together, and my body has matured, I've wanted him. 

"Ash. There's a dance for Pokemon Performers, and I have to have a date. Would you like to go with me?"

I waited with bated breath, hoping with every inch of my slight build that he would say yes. 

"Sure Serena! Sounds like fun."

I rushed to hug him, squealing with excitement, and as I jumped into his chest, suddenly got embarrassed and pulled back at the last second. This, to my surprise, caused Ash to fall directly on top of me. He caught himself before hitting me, and smiled down at me, having pinned down my arms as he stopped the fall. 

"Still clumsy huh Serena? We should get going, don't wanna be late right?"

All I could manage was a nod, as I quickly sat up, pressing my legs back together. He extended his hand to help me back up, and off we went. As we walked to the castle in which the dance will take place, I couldn't help but stare at Ash while we walked. As he grew, his babyface turned into a sharp jawline, and he got taller and taller, til he towered over me. His 18th birthday had just passed, and he looked better than ever. I couldn't stand how much I wanted him.

"Hey Serena! Is that the building?"

I suddenly awoke from my daydreams and looked up.

"It is! We're here!"

On impulse, I grabbed Ash's hand and ran to the front of the castle, excited to check in, with Ash as my date. We arrived at the check in desk, and I couldn't contain my excitement when I was informed of the huge closet awaiting me.

"So, it says here that we have a room upstairs to rest in, with a closet to choose from. Umm.. I won't have to wear something super fancy will I?"

"Maybe a little, but I'm excited to see the room so you can argue there!"

We arrived at the door to our room, and I opened the door to see a huge bed, set directly in the middle of a huge room. One bed. I turned bright red, looking at Ash to see if he would notice, and of course, he's oblivious. Closing the door behind me, I walk to the closet, and start picking out dresses to try on. I see one near the back that looks like something I'd never wear. It's deep red and skintight, and I've never worn anything like it.. so I add it to the pile. 

"Hey Serena! We don't have to go for a while you know, so why don't you relax!"

"Okay.. Sure!"

I leave the dresses in the closet and go back into the room, where I see Ash on the bed, smiling up at me, and patting the seat next to him. I gingerly sit on the edge of the bed, still afraid to be near him. He pulls out his Pokedex, and sets an alarm for about an hour and a half before the event. 

"Wanna take a nap? We've been walking a while and well.. we are supposed to be resting."

"Um.. sure."

He doesn't seem fazed by the fact that we only have one bed. I slide up into the top of the bed, and turn away from Ash. He does the same, and though I resisted the pull of sleep for a while, the exhaustion finally catches up to me.

The sound of the alarm wakes me a while later, and I stretch myself awake. I'm startled to feel a weight on my waist, and turn around to see Ash cuddled around me. I feel my face go red hot, and I jump out of the bed, throw a pillow at Ash to wake him, and run into the closet, slamming the door behind me. Calming myself down, I set out an outfit for Ash, and decide on the red dress. Walking to the bathroom, I make sure Ash is awake and let him know he doesn't have to worry about his clothes.
