Harrys POV:
"Mom! Seriously?! Why do you want to do that?" I could hear Mallory questioning worriedly into her phone. She had been talking to her mother on her cell phone for almost an hour, sitting in my room. I had the feeling they wouldn't be done soon. I'm sitting on a couch next to Niall across from a couch shared by Zayn and Chandni, who were completely into whatever they were talking about. I didn't care enough to eaves drop, so I listened to Mallory. She kept saying the same thing over and over again, clearly not thinking her mother understood her. She had been on edge for a few hours now, I guessed the phone call had rewarded her a way to release some tension, from what, I had no idea.
"What do you think they're talking about?" Niall asked me, curious. Clearly I wasn't the only one listening into the long phone call. So, if Mallory finds out, I can take Niall down with me.
"I haven't got a clue." I answered him truthfully. What the hell were they talking about?
"Fine! I'll see you soon." I heard Mallory mumble glumly, clearly defeated. That was one of the first arguments that I'd seen her lose since she got here, I smiled inwardly. Mallory walked through the entry way and into the living area, her phone tightly grasped in her hand and an annoyed look on her face.
"Well, you guys better prepare your selves. My parents will be here in less than two hours." She informed us slowly, obviously waiting for the freak out faces. The only face that looked even close to freaked out and nervous was Chandni. Were Mallorys parents that bad?
"Is that a bad thing?" I asked her curiously, as she came and sat on my lap, her ice cold hands finding mine and wallowing in the heat.
"Yes and no. I mean, they're great. They just... overreact. About everything." She replied, her face twisted in worry and doubt.
"What will they overreact about?" Niall questioned, edging closer to Mallory, clearly hoping for some scary stories.
"Well, first of all, I'm in a house hold full of gorgeous boys that I've fangirled over for years. On top of that, I happen to be with one of them. Plus, the whole dying of cancer thing. Personally, I see nothing they should be worried about." Mallory said with a nervous laugh.
"Yeah, nothing to worry about." I said sarcastically, pulling her closer to me. "Are they going to whip me with a stick or something?"
"No, I don't think so. They might just bombard you with a million questions. Be glad my older brother isn't coming. He would probably beat your ass and leave you in a ditch to die."
"Seriously?! Why?" I questioned, feeling my eyes grow wide and my jaw drop.
"Hm, well. You are with his little sister. You sleep in the same bed with his little sister. Oh and you had sex with his little sister. Basically, he will want to skin you alive." She informed me matter-of-factly.
"Well then I'm not going to any of your family gatherings any time soon. I actually perfer my skin to be attached to my body, thank you very much." I tell her, my arms tightening around her waist, locking her in position as she made way to punch me.
"So, since Mallory's perspective of her parents doesn't mean anything, what are they really like? No like serial killers or anything? Considering Pauls been out with his wife most of the time we've been here and can't protect us, we need to know whether we should open the door or pretend like nobodys home." Niall questioned mischeviously, jumping away from Mallorys attempt to kick him.
