1- My Caregiver Invincible

Mr. Caregiver

I am not boasting

But happy about you

Boasting does nothing

Especially to a tetraplegic

Look at me,

What would I do?

I would have gone long before

To the world of the unconscious

Accept it honorably,

“My Caregiver Invincible”

"You are the man"

Everything I do is accomplished by you

Why should I not call you?

“My Caregiver Invincible”

I cannot control my own bladder and bowel

I cannot turn myself in bed

I cannot cough by myself

I can neither fix myself a glass of water

Nor a plate of food

I cannot help myself when falling

I cannot push my wheelchair

I cannot even give myself a bathe

Yet you get them done for me

On a routine basis,

Keeping time

Like the astronomical clock

Day after day

Week after week

Month after month

Year after year

Putting our differences aside

When-I do not appreciate your efforts

When-I always use you

As my anger management object

When-I do not give you a break

O, “My Caregiver Invincible”

The lists of the horrible things

I have done to you are infinite

Yet the more I do horrible things to you

The more you give me a care

Better than the previous

You are truly a caregiver

A caregiver whose integrity and care

Transcends beyond the limit of any other caregiver

Your integrity and care

Lay far beyond the infinite limit

Of any other caregiver

Shame on me

“My Caregiver Invincible”

I am sorry

I have never thanked you

For all the wonders

You have done in my life

Since I became an invalid

I am sorry

I have been so selfish

“My Caregiver Invincible”

Thinking only of my own problems
