            Third Person's POV

Gwendolyn lay on her bed staring up at the ceiling where glow in the dark stars were glued. Her eyes were faraway as she recalled a particular memory. She was only fourteen that time but everything was still clear in her fuzzy head. Even though she was young she knew what was happening as sirens were on their front lawn with policemen scattered around their humbles home. Well, it was humble that time but now- Gwendolyn did not want to remember how cold and distant everyone was. Her own home felt like a cage where the situation kept on repeating over and over. She was scared. A body was on a stretcher being rolled out. Her only could hear her mother screaming and her father gaping unbelievable expression but she- she was numb. Nothing coherent was registering in her head and she knew when that door of the ambulance closed she won't ever see him laughing again, teasing her or even cuddling her until she fell asleep when she had nightmares so she shut it all off. She force herself to block out that moment in her life because she knew it'll kill her. She made herself forget about that part of her life where she vulnerable to this harsh reality. But how far more she could go without breaking down. She knows it won't be forever and one day she would fall into misery facing the death of her brother. Her walls will fall and her emotions will poured out but she don't want to remember. She wanted to believe that he was away at college having the time of his life whilst studying to fulfill his dream as an aeronautic engineer. But death too him away...

No!

He's fine! Gwendolyn thought trying to persuade herself to understand. Closing her eyes she suddenly remember the car crash. Fisting the sheets in her hands a stray tear trickled down her cheek.

Don't cry Gwen! You're strong and you can handle anything!

Yet why did she feel so weak. Brushing away the unwanted tear she cleared her throat to keep all her emotions in check. She could not afford to be fragile now especially when college acceptance letter will be coming in. She needed a clear head to select the right college where her field was clear and uncomplicated. Maybe Standford or Colombia University.

Walking over to the body length mirror she gazed at herself. The girl standing there looked so strong willed and smart from exterior but in the inside she was just tired. Biting her lip she tried to smile to push away all the sadness. It wasn't time to mop around. She needed to be there for William and see who really is this guy everyone was making a big deal of.

Alistair Wes. The trio.

His name send chills up her spine in a frenzy and for some peculiar reason her heartbeat picked up. Frowning, she shrugged it off. After all she was really excited to meet him.

She went to her bathroom and took a quick shower making sure to shave her legs since she had a perfect outfit to wear tonight which involves showing off a lot of legs. Wrapping up in her robe she went inside her closet and began her search for the dress she was going to wear tonight.
After a few minutes, she found the dress.

"Aha!" She raised the attire in the air in victory laughing at herself quietly. She took her time admiring the light green dress that was going to match her eye color. It was body fitted and ended mid thighs with off the shoulder short sleeves and it also reveals a lot of cleavage. Grinning like crazy she pulled on the dress and paired it with black  ankle boots made out of leather. She fixed her hair into a ponytail with red curls framing her heart shaped face void of any make up but matte lipstick. She sprayed her favourite perfume on before heading out.

"Mom I'm going out!" Gwendolyn shouted from downstairs making her way to the fridge in the kitchen. She grabbed a water bottle unscrewed the cap and chugged down the contents quickly eyeing the ancient grandfather clock on the wall which read 7:00 o clock. As in cue her mother came waltzing inside the kitchen. "And where are you going?" She arched an expectant brow at her hesitant daughter.
