Half a heart (A Niall Horan fanfiction)

Chapter 1

I woke up to a delicious smell of cacao. Yeeez, I love that smell . 
Outside it was snowing and my dad worked hard to get all the snow away from our driveway. My room was freezing so I decided to go downstairs and drink some warm chocolate. My mom got extremely stressed out when she saw me in my pj's.

"Erina, why haven't you changed clothes?" she yelled at me

"Sorry mom, I just woke up" I said tiredly, but also with a bit of frustrated tone. Like I would get out of bed earlier than 10 am on a Saturday

"Fine, change clothes and hurry up" she said calmly and gave me a cup of cacao. 

I actually don't get why she's so stressed all the time? Especially since we're not having any plans today, I guess?
Back at my room  I sat on my bed and thought about it, then suddenly I could hear my mom yell at me again form downstairs..

"Erina? Are you ready?" she yelled

"Why are you so stressed mom? I yelled back at her

"Come on Erina, you haven't forgot it have you?" she said when she came into my room

"Forgot about what, mom?" I said confused while I looked out the window on all the white, beautiful snow.

"Niall is coming home today. Actually, in fifteen minutes to be precise " she said and laughed on the way out of my room

Niall and his family have been our neighbours for years. But ever since Niall went on with that X-Factor thing, and all that followed with it, he's barely home. It breaks my heart to not have him around all the time anymore.. 

I got out of my bed and ran over to my wardrobe. I took out a grey hoodie and some black jeans. My mom yelled at me a few times again, but I ignored her. After I had brushed my teeth and fixed my hair, I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. Finally I got to see my best friend again, cuz wow, it feels like forever since the last time we met. Sadly, but true. Suddenly I heard my father talking to someone. I walked to the window, and then, my entire body was filled by pure joy. He was here, after such a long time, finally he's home

Hi there! 

I wrote this chapter back in 2014. Sadly, I did not continue it.. But I would love to do something about that now. Therefor I chose to rewrite some of the chapter, when it obviously is like seven years since I wrote this part. Hopefully you guys will like it.
