The Hardship

Chapter 1

I never believed in love at first sight, till this day forward. But,

I think it's best if I start before all this happened so you guys can

understand me.

     My name is Lilly Scoffmer. I've lived in France my whole life.

My big dream was leaving there and exploring the world. That's

been my dream since I was 7 years old. My mom always told me

that it was to dangerous, but I never believed her and I still don't.

I'm 18 years old, and she still tells me that. Sometimes I think she

can be over reacting. I mean, Yeah, she's my mom and she wants

the best for me. But I think the best for me would be letting me go. 

I knew my dad wanted me to go but he couldn't let my mom

down like that. But by letting me get hope, he would give me maps

and traveling supplys when I was younger.  Now I've got so

much hope that I am going to do something that you would

probably call stupid. I'm running off. I checked the boat schedules 

and I'm leaving on one that leaves at 9:15...tonight! You would

think it's stupid because I have no money, and no clue of where

I'm going to end up. My family has no clue that I'm doing this. But,

that's why they call it 'running off,' isn't it? All I know, is that

the boat I'm going on, Is heading somewhere east.
