I feel exhausted! Holidays are over and we're back to reality. Thick books sprawled across the center table and me, sprawled up in the sofa.

The school year's almost ending, so some professors are planning to end us too by giving us a huge amount of homework and projects. I thought that didn't exist in college? Apparently not.

"Hyejin?" I yelled, too lazy to stand up and check in her room but there's only silence that greeted me. Where could she be?

I sighed and raised my arm to cover my eyes when I heard our passcode being punched and the door opening. It could be chaeyoung and lisa, but chaeyoung's probably out for a snack right now. Lisa should be with jungkook so it could only be hyejin or hoseok. Whoever it may be, I'm too drained to move.

"I'm hibernating. Don't wake me up for a week" I uttered but then I felt someone licking my face.

"What the—" I sat up to find an adorable puppy, wagging its tail at me and I cooed.

"Awwweeee." I scooped it up and hugged it tightly, somehow making my mood lift up.

"goldie likes you" Hoseok said, grinning down at me, holding a leash and putting it on the table before sitting next to me and I immediately cuddled.

"Goldie? Cause..." I looked down to its sex. A bitch.

"she's a golden retriever?" What an original name.

"Can I call her bitch?" I giggled as bitch licked my face.

"See? She likes it." I chuckled and hoseok just shook his head.

"Is she going to be staying with you?" My head is on his lap, laying the puppy on my chest, petting it while hoseok is playing with my hair. I don't know you, but if someone is combing my hair using their fingers, it causes me to be drowsy.

Hoseok was telling me about his studies and I tried to pay attention to it but his fingers brushing my head is making my eyes droop and I'm in no condition to make him stop cause I'm tired as hell! I really felt like my soul was being sucked out of my body. I was that tired! But just forgot about it when the bitch came and licked me. Wait... that didn't sound good.

"They told us not to get too attached with our patients cause sometimes, more often than not, we're in charge of eutha—"

"Nizing..." I faltered and chuckled seeing byul's breathing slowed and her head lolling to the side. The puppy looked up at me and tilted its head.

"Looks like mommy's asleep." I whispered. I smiled, looking at her face. When did I start liking her? Was it the first time she made her move on me?

She scared me at first. She was very aggressive but passed it off as a joke and backed away. She struggled to adjust her attitude for me but her personality always shows.

I was curious about her and was looking forward to spend time with her that's why I went by taehyung's barn more often when I didn't have any errands there.

Was it when we first kissed? When she kissed me that night, I couldn't help but kiss back. I am no virgin so that really made me fired up but, I wanted to treat her best.

Or was it when I felt a tug in my heart when she avoided me?

When she recoiled from my touch and ran up to her room, I knew I made a mistake. I should've explained better. She wouldn't meet my eyes after that and have been avoiding me. I was hurt when she stiffly nodded her head to me as a goodbye.

When I bumped into her at the airport when I sent taehyung off, my heartbeat accelerated. I missed her. I wanted to ask taehyung where I can find her but he's as clueless as me.

I was naive to think she got offended with me cause I didn't reciprocate her advances when it's because she's thinking lowly of herself. I figured that out when I found her being harassed at the grocery store. I wanted to beat that jerk to a pulp. Chaeyoung had cleared everything to me and it made sense.

That's how I've decided to make her my queen. I didn't tell her those to make herself feel small but to make her feel like she's worth everything that is good cause she does.

slowly carried her in my arms and the puppy jumped off from her and  followed me to her room.

I slowly put her down the bed and brushed the hair that fell on her face and tucked it behind her ear. I kissed her forehead and was going to leave when her hand shot up and held the hem of my shirt.

"Stay. Bsgweydhbjs." She mumbled and her hand fell. I chuckled and removed my shoes then slowly climbed up next to her.

I smiled when she immediately curled up to me, her face buried at the nook of my neck and one of her legs went across my waist.

I wrapped my arms around her and caressed her hair. My body's also feeling exhausted, my eyelids are getting heavy. Laying down with her soundly sleeping next to me made my fatigue more pronounced.

Byul's schedule is packed and so is mine but I always made sure to make time for her. We'll be busier in the next few years, especially if we'll be on residency. Much more if we're actually working already.

It's going to be a tough ride but she's my ride or die. We'll get through it. I'll make sure of that.

With my body engulfed with softness of her mattress, and my eyes drooping low, I gave in and fell asleep too but not before feeling goldie curling up next to me as well.

I'm just happy it's almost summer and we're going back to where we first met.
