//This story takes place after my story, Oak Tree//
// TW: panic attack//

Fire. The fire was everywhere.

Bill Cipher could feel the searing hot flames around his arms. Bill could hear the screams of the residents of his home dimension. Bill could see ash in the sky, he could see the blackness of the sky and the charred grass on the ground. He saw the reds and oranges and yellows. He felt the guilt.

Oh, the guilt.

I did this. I did this.

Bill Cipher looked down at his human hands. Flames engulfed them. Panic filled his heart and he tried to put it out, but his magic wouldn't budge.

"Why did you do this?" He could hear his mother's voice.

"How dare you!" His father's voice. "You have destroyed everything you've ever cared about!"

Suddenly, everything was gone. Bill squeezed his eyes shut as he fell to the cool grass.

Cool? No. That can't be right.

Bill Cipher opened his eyes and he was back in Gravity Falls, in front of the Mystery Shack.

But there was no sound. There was no wind, no sound of birds chirping. Nothing. Something was wrong.

"Bill." Dipper!

Bill spun around on his knees. Bill grinned as he saw his familiar, beloved face. "Pine Tree! I—"

Something was very wrong. Pine Tree was not smiling. Not only that, but there was hatred in his eyes. Bill knew that look too well. "Dipper?"

Pine Tree took a step forward. A tear ran down his beautiful face. "Why?"

Bill grasped the cold, green grass, wanting to ground himself. "Why what?"

Pine Tree didn't answer, but instead pointed.

Bill turned his head to see what he was pointing at and saw the Fearamid in the distance. At once, the world became warm and the grass he was holding on to turned warm. The sky turned orange in an instant and the sky tore apart. Sound came: even more screams, crackling of fire, henchmaniacs and demons and monsters making noises of delight.

He snapped his head back to look at Dipper. The fiery forest behind Dipper made him a silhouette.

"You destroy worlds. It's what you do. How can I love someone who would do this?"

Bill looked down at his hands.

There was fire in them and he could not control it.

The fire was everywhere.

Everywhere.

Everywh...

Every...

___

Bill woke up to Dipper shaking him awake.

He couldn't breathe. He tried, but couldn't. He was someplace else. He could hear Pine Tree, but the voice was faint. Bill gasped for air but it wouldn't come.

Where was the air?

Was he suffocating?

Is this how he would die, at long last?

"Breathe."

Breathe.

Breathe.

Then warm hands on his face, brown eyes staring into Bill's own hazel ones, the AC blowing cold air on his face, lively sounds of forest, the wooden walls, the cloth of his shirt.

He was awake. He was here. He could breathe.

After a few minutes of just breathing in and out, the once-demon sat up in Dipper's bed in the Mystery Shack. "Sorry."

Furrowed brows. "Hey, don't be sorry! You had a nightmare." Pine Tree put his hand to Bill's beating chest. "God, Bill. Your heart's beating so fast. Are you okay?"

A warm feeling in his chest.

Bill at last met Dipper's gaze. Bill could see the love in them. He put his hand on top of Dipper's hand that was still on his chest. "I guess I am now. Thanks for waking me up and helping." Bill smiled in what he hoped was a reassuring manner.

Dipper rolled his eyes. "Liar. You're not okay, I can tell. You're sweating," Bill had only noticed, "You're shaking," Bill looked down at his trembling human hands, "And your heart's beating fast." Dipper put his free hand on top of Bill's that was already on top of Dipper's other hand. "Something's the matter. Do you want to talk about it?"

Bill looked at the wooden wall by the closet. "Not really."

Dipper immediately sat criss cross then put his hands in his lap politely. "You can tell me anything."

Tears welled in Bill's eyes when he looked at him. "Fine." Bill took a deep breath and began the tale of the end of his dimension.

___

After almost an hour of talking, tears slid out of Dipper's eyes. "Shit, Bill. I never knew this about you..."

Bill blinked hard. "Wait, Ford didn't tell you?!"

"No? What the hell?"

Bill face palmed. "Ugh, whatever. You know now. I'm glad you know."

Dipper pulled Bill's hand away from his forehead and kissed it. "I'm happy you told me." He grinned at him with his perfect mouth.

Bill kissed that perfect mouth. "I love you."

Warm hands slid around Bill's neck. "I love you too. Now, you want to get up and have some coffee or something or go back to sleep?"

"Pine Tree, it's 4 AM. What kind of fool gets up at this time?"

"True."
