Love poem

your smile, your laugh
simple things I can't ignore no matter how hard I try
your jokes I can't help but laugh at
I am afraid of one day losing you, the opportunity of love slipping between my fingers
but I'll grab the chance by the hand and say it loud "I love you"

I was once afraid of falling in love, and then I met you
my heart raced my cheeks flushed, I couldn't help but blush
I felt afraid of rejection, of a broken heart never fixed
but perhaps I was wrong
To be afraid of love

I admired you from a distance, afraid to make myself visible to you
At some point, I realized I had already lost my chance
But I still silently hoped you'd still end up with me

I dreamed a dream,
We were together, side-by-side holding hands
Watching the sunrise on a beautiful day
And then we kissed, it felt so real I believed it was meant to be
But then I woke up and realised it had only been a wish I hoped would come true

A cold winter's day, my heart had been frozen
Then I met you, and the warmth of your love melted my heart and it started beating for you

By Ghost (one of my friend's code name)
