Four years have passed since the events on Earth that caused Reese Morris, a human experimented on by the Grey alien race (also referred to as the Madorians), to flee on a Grey ship housed at the classified military installation Area 51. The ship belonged to the Captain, the alien that Reese fought to a bloody standstill some time before.

Reese, with the help of an AI he recovered from the ship, set course for the home system of the Greys: the Artemisia System, located in the Andromeda Galaxy. Reese, with the help of the AI he named Elle, traveled there in an effort to find out more about the experiments that gave him his powers.

Over the course of four years, Reese's goals changed. He realized that he would have to do whatever it takes to survive, as he is the only human in Artemisia.

Reese quickly made use of his enhanced strength and speed, resorting to a life of crime. His actions quickly made Reese one of the most wanted criminals, with a bounty of eighteen million credits being his highest.

After a successful theft of high grade propulsion components for his ship, valued at just under seven hundred thousand credits, Reese quickly had to lay low outside of the main system in the Outer Field. The Outer Field is the section of the Artemisia System beyond the asteroid field that goes through the middle of it. The Outer Field is a vast, lawless void of planets. Unlike the sixteen planets in the Artemisia System, those in the Outer Field do not report to the Fifth Republic, the main governing body of the system.

The Fifth Republic is ruled by the Greys; they are the other government that is in a civil war with the Holy Madorian Empire, the Grey dictatorship that attacked Earth.

Reese landed on Planet Kitano, a well respected Commerce World with little incidents of crime. Reese stopped here to see a shipmaster that could install the sub-fusion upgrades to his ship... that Reese had stole.
