Fenrys disappeared around a corner with Feyre. I loosed a breath, and looked at Aedion.

"Where is she from? What is the Night Court? Does Aelin know that she is here?" His questions slammed into me... but Aelin. She was gone. When I had felt the mating bond ripple, I had known something was wrong. Reaching inwards, I could still feel the mating bond, but it was drab. Muted.

"Shit. Something's happened to her, hasn't it?" Aedion's voice cut through my thoughts. Aelin wasn't only my queen, I reminded myself.

I nodded. "I-I felt something on the mating bond. I ran to where I felt it, but Aelin was gone. And Feyre... she was there instead." I had scented the genuine confusion on Feyre. And fear. Not from me though.

"She has some sort of mind powers. I felt her brush against my mind. I don't know if she was hostile, or merely curious." Aedion paled a fraction. I knew that he had reached the same conclusion as I had.

"Maeve?"

"Possibly. We need to have the others input. Get Lorcan and Elide here. Lysandra, Evangeline. Any others. Hell, get Dorian and Manon here!" I could feel myself growing more and more panicked as time apart from Aelin dragged on.

Aedion nodded grimly, opened his mouth to say something, but shut it again. He stalked out, and I sank onto a chair.

Feyre

When the male, Fenrys, left me alone in a room, I finally let myself breath. I paced in front of my bed, considering my options.

I could tell the males were decent, and others in this world might not be as welcoming. The blue-eyed one, the distrustful one, seemed familiar. I racked my brain, trying to figure out where I had seen him before.

The female! He was sparring with her in my vision. He was nearly identical to her as well. The eyes, the golden hair, the honed, muscled bodies. They must train a lot to look like that, perhaps even against each other.

I would stay then. Stay with these males, who served their queen so loyally. And maybe... maybe they could help me return to my world.

Friends or no, I couldn't bear the thought of not knowing anything about this kingdom. I strode to the door, and found it unlocked. Foolish of them to trust me, even if I meant them no harm.

I strode out the door, shifting my features to look like Graysen's, Elain's former betrothed. He had broken her heart, so it was only fair that he was assisting me now.
No one stopped me as I left the castle.

Rhysand allowed me to stay in the library with him until he left. "Making sure you don't kill us when our backs are turned." he had said, winking.

I was inclined to like Rhys. He was tearing through books, and a pile was building up beside him. Mor came down when we had been reading for 2 hours with drinks and food.

"He's looking for a way to get Feyre back." Mor said. He was looking for his mate, I mine.

How was Rowan faring with me not there? How much time had passed in my world? I couldn't bear not knowing. And my magic, however depleted, was still roaring to be let out.

Hours later, when the sun had long since disappeared behind the horizon, Rhys finally looked up. "Perhaps we should leave now. We've read the day away!" He was attempting to joke around, play arrogant ruler, but I could see right through his facade. I could see how terrified, and scared he was.

I put a hand on his arm. A hand devoid of scars. I shoved down the sob that built up in my throat at that smooth hand. "I know how scared you are. I'm away from my mate too. We can work through this together, and fix this. I know we can." His eyes shuttered at my words, and he let out a breath. He nodded.

"Celaena, have you ever considered a career in inspirational speaking?" I snorted, and Rhys smirked. He led me upstairs, and took me to a table laden with food.

I leaped upon the different dishes before I was even seated. My plate was half empty before Rhys had even finished reaching for his first dish. Mor strode in, and laughed out loud when she saw my half empty plate.

"You eat faster than Cassian!" She nodded approvingly, and moved to fill her own plate.

"Cassian?" Mor looked at Rhys, as if asking approval, and he gave the slightest of nods.

"Cassian," she began, "is the general and commander of Rhys's armies. He is in the Illyrian mountains right now, but he will join us for dinner in two days." Commander of armies. This laughing, sarcastic male before me had armies. Though I suppose that people might be surprised that I was an assassin.

"Well, if he and I are both going to be there, than I suggest you get more food." I drawled.

Rhys barked a laugh, and grinned.
"I suppose I shall have to. I suppose I shall."

Aedion bursted into my room without knocking. Before I could snarl at him to get out, he panted out, "She's gone. Feyre's gone!" From his panting, I could tell he had sprinted here from the floor above.

I stalked over to him. "When did you find out?"
His breathing eased, and he looked around the room pointedly. I immediately clicked a shield into place, and Aedion relaxed slightly.

"I went to offer to give her a tour, get some information, but she didn't answer when I knocked. I opened the door, and she wasn't there. There were no signs  of anyone breaking in, or out. She just vanished. I don't... I just..." I clapped Aedion on the shoulder as he trailed off.

Strange, how Feyre could disappear. Did she have other powers? Abilities to leap between rooms like Fenrys? Thoughts swirled through my brain, but I pushed them to the side.

"Have the guards aware. If anyone tries to leave or enter the castle, have them present some form of identification. We'll go out, and look for unfamiliar faces. Let no one slip past you." Aedion's face hardened in silent resolve.

"We will find her. If she is a traitor or an assassin, well... she better watch her back..."

Ooooh!
Will they hurt Feyre?
What will Aelin and Cassian get up to?
