Mackenzie Talia Jennifer Crossnic Estacado was born on March 4th on a brisk morning sometime in the late 90s. Her parents were Michael Estacado and Nerissa Crossnic. She is raised in New York City by both her parents. But her origin started when Michael found out that his girlfriend Nerissa was pregnant with his child and he had to choose between his work or their bundle of joy.
He chose his child and the day she was born, he promised her a better life and even put money away for her college funds. As soon as she could talk and walk, he got her into martial arts and ballet.
Mackenzie gotten to know her uncles which were Vinnie and Jimmy the Grape. They made sure her life was normal and that she enjoyed every minute of it. They took her to Astoria to a theme park for fun and games.
But when she turned 15 years old, while on a walk with her father, he was about to tell her about his legacy until he was shot and killed in front of her. But the first shot was made at her leg and she fell down as people around her freaked out. She held her father in her arms and his last words were "beware they Darkness, Mackenzie. Don't let it consume you."
She didn't understood what his cryptic words meant, but she had the bullet removed and was told they couldn't save her father or revive him. She was devastated by this and was in deep depression. After the funeral, her mother fled after feeling heart broken that her husband had died and left her daughter in the care of her uncle Jimmy. He resided in the Franchetti Manor and Mackenzie stayed there for the time being.
After spending a couple weeks in her room and only got up to use the bathroom or come down for dinner, she still mourned for her father.
When Jimmy took her address book and called her friends to come over, they managed to get her out of her shell of depression and took her out for some air. Melanie, one of her best friends helped wash her before going out while Eli picked out her clothes with her aunt Sarah.
Mackenzie however kept having dreams about darkness and these strange things. These mysterious demons she sees try to grab her and she screams in her sleep as her uncle often ran to her room and comforts her.
Around the time in college, her friends get hers kitten and she names him Cheshire since he reminded her of the character from Alice in Wonderland. One of the things she loves collecting was frogs. Not the actual thing, but plushies and even trinkets.
During her senior year in college, she started having bad dreams about the darkness and how it would eat her and consume her. She woke up in a sweat.
But when going out for a walk and bringing flowers for her father's grave, she gets ambushed by her rival Stella Grundy. She attempted to bury Mackenzie alive in a hole at Trinity Cemetery near the church.
Then, while trying to climb up, she felt a weird sensation in her head and she was almost 21 years of age, but they began when the clock struck midnight and the bells rang from it. She can feel shadows consume her as she felt it overcome her and soon after, she became the vessel of a power known as The Darkness.
Mackenzie later found out who killed her father and the mastermind behind it was Paulie Franchetti himself.
When she heard that he escaped to his manor lighthouse, she and her friends go after him. Arming them with weapons and armor, they fought off the men and as dark fell, Mackenzie used the Darkness against them and split them apart with using special skills. She was lost in the power and she finally comes toward Paulie and puts a bullet in his head.
She took over the family as leader. She never thought she'd become a mob boss, but after she finished college and graduated, she took control of the family. She even went out on contracts with her men.
