Ghel
It was some time after midnight, I was in a cab on my way to my new "assigned" home. The streets were empty unlike my old home, no matter what time it was everything was so noisy and busy, but this place was like a ghost town...
I hopped of the cab and stared at my supposed house. It was a creepy building, it looked like it was abandoned, but wasn't. You could see streams of light, but they were hardly visible. I stepped in the old fragile building.
No body was in the front desk, so I went straight to look for the elevator. No elevator. I stepped on the creaky stairs, they seemed so weak as if they could break anytime you step on them. I reached my designated room. I didn't really expect much from the looks of the building.
The furniture was covered and the room was a simple grey color. The whole place looked really simple and really dusty. I was so tired so I decided to crash on the couch.
help... mister, help
"What?"
I woke up still in the couch, I could've sworn I heard whispering cries for help...
I decided to just forget about it and got up. It was now five anyway, so I decided to start cleaning up. I tore off the covers on the furniture. I continued to dust the walls and other stuff. Once I finished the living room and kitchen, I headed to my bedroom.
The bedroom was pretty nice, it was black and white, there was a desk and a bed plus, I think, a bathroom.
I was dusting the floor when I reached a part near the bed and saw an item on the floor. I reached out for it. It was a doll, it wore a white satin dress, but it was stained with something red.
I placed it on my desk and continued with my cleaning.
I recently finished cleaning and was now starting to unpack my stuff. I finally finished setting up, I grabbed the doll on my desk placed it in a box.
I grabbed my phone and dialled for my sister.
"Hey Angeline." I say wearily.
"Hey lil' bro, you done unpacking?" she said.
"Yeah just finished, how about your project?" I asked courteously.
"Done with it too. Hold on."
I heard some dripping coming from the bathroom. It stopped. I continued to chat with my sister for awhile 'til she had to get going.
sir help... sir...
There it was again, the creepy whispering. I ignored it and went to my desk. I pulled a drawer open when I spotted a familiar looking doll. It was the one I thought I'd gotten rid of. I placed it in a box again. This time, I saw a picture stuck under a box. I pulled the picture and stared at it.
It was a picture of a girl and the doll... The girl had long silky black hair in braided pig-tails, pale skin and wore a lovely white dress. The doll looked the same except it was cleaner and the satin dress was pure white, no spots of red.
I placed the picture in the same box as the doll.
