MR GARDINER DRONED on at the front of lillie's math class as she concentrated solely on her sketchpad, almost finished with her sketch of rory. she smiled as she finished shading the eyes, having finally got them to look the way she wanted. mr gardiner noticed her shift of concentration and shook his head with a sigh before the bell rang gaining the attention of the blonde. she picked up her stuff leaving the room, heading to her locker, opening it to get her notebooks for her next class.

"hey, blondie." someone suddenly spoke from behind her making her yelp and drop her sketchpad. she turned around to see jess, with a smug smirk on his lips.

"oh hi." she stammered bending down to pick up her sketchpad but someone else's hands got it first. she stood back up to see jess looking at her drawing of rory, the faintest sign of admiration on his face. "give it back."

jess smirked widened, holding it out of her reach. "you drew that?" he asked.

"no, my dog is just very talented." she answered sarcastically. "of course i drew it, idiot."

"woah woah, whats with the hostility raphael?" he feigned hurt, handing back her sketchpad.

she took it, smiling gratefully. "i consider myself more of a da vinci you know? jack of all trades." she stated bluntly grabbing her notebook from her locker before slamming her locker shut and walking down the corridor, the brunette boy following behind her.

"i stayed and ate the food."

"want a gold star?"

"if you've got one." he smiled teasingly.

"what's your point, city boy?" she sighed, stopping to turn around and face him.

jess smirked. "you owe me."

she nodded, suddenly regretting what she said the other night. "and you want something, i'm guessing?"

"not yet, just making sure the offer still stands."

lillie brushed her stray hairs from her face with a sigh before looking up to meet jess' stare. "right okay, well let me know when you want something." she shrugged.

"will do." he smiled sending her a wink that immediately caused her cheeks to burn before he walked away.

"wowwww, front page! my very own salisbury." lillie smiled at her best friend proudly after having read her draft piece about max. rory laughed taking it back.

"i don't think i'll be going to moscow anytime soon." she said sitting back down to continue working on it.

the blonde sighed dramatically lying across the kitchen table, with a hand on her forehead. "it's only a matter of time before you'll be working at the new york times, long forgotten little old me."
