"Push me!" Sehun said, jumping onto a swing and kicking his feet on the ground impatiently.

Kris thought they would have had a cool time at the park, hanging out, making fun of passers-by. He'd even imagined seeing Sehun's reaction if Kris ever kissed his cheek.

He wandered over to Sehun, with his hands casually in the pockets of his hoodie. He pulled back the younger boy's swing.

Half an hour later, Sehun was still yelling delightedly. He loved swings. It was one of the few pleasures he'd taken with him from his childhood. He dug his feet into the ground and jumped off.

Kris was standing motionless, facing him, hood pulled right down to cover his face. He tried to smile.

"What's wrong?" Sehun asked. He walked over to Kris and put his head on the taller boy's shoulder. He tried to hug him, but Kris pushed him away. "What was that for?"

"What are you doing with bubble tea boy?" a voice called across the darkened park.

Another voice, even more mocking, joined it. "He's a kid, Yifan, that's disgusting."

So what Sehun was nearly three years younger than him? It wasn't so much of an age gap anymore, twenty and seventeen. Sure, Sehun was a bit immature, he'd just proved that. But they'd waited long enough to date, surely now was as good a time as ever?

Sehun looked at Kris with confused eyes.

"Let's go somewhere else," Kris muttered.

"Of course," the second boy, one of the boys who'd been in Kris's class at school, before he left for university, continued, "their mothers don't know about these little rendez-vous, do they?"

Kris firmly ignored them. He pressed in the small of Sehun's back gently and effectively pushed him out of the park.

"Why were they saying that about me?" Sehun demanded.

"I don't know," Kris said, rubbing his sleepy eyes. "I haven't seen them in months. Ignore them."

Sehun didn't seem entirely satisfied, but he'd known they'd get comments because they were openly gay, and the age gap didn't exactly help. He slipped his hand tentatively into Kris's.

They walked through the trees surrounding the park in darkness. It was autumn, a beautiful season, but very cold. Sehun pulled his coat tighter around himself but didn't let go of Kris's hand even though it felt like it would drop off.

"Um..." Kris stopped walking. "Do you want to come in and have something to eat?" he asked, shyly. Why was he being shy? It was Sehun, not some random guy he'd just met.

They had to let go of each other's hands as Kris unlocked the door. Sehun was shivering.

Kris's mother was inside, and she immediately began fussing over them both. She insisted on feeding them a cake she'd just finished making, and Sehun was sure she would have put it in his mouth if he'd asked.

"Do you, um, want to play on the Playstation?" Kris asked, desperately looking for an excuse to leave.

"Yes, I'd love to," Sehun said, declining another slice of cake.

"This turned out to be a rubbish date," Kris laughed when he'd closed the door to his room.

Sehun would have automatically turned on the games console, but he restrained himself and sat on the bed. "It's not over yet." He slyly looked at Kris's lips.

"You know how my parents are about this," Kris said, moving further down the bed. He avoided Sehun's gaze.

"You've been acting weird since the park, what's wrong?" Sehun said, shifting himself so his legs lay in Kris's lap.

Kris tugged off Sehun's socks and threw them on the floor. He rubbed the younger boy's feet slowly, trying to find a way to say it. "They think you're too young for me," he eventually said.

"Does it matter to you?"

"Well...no..."

"Good, then." Sehun, bored with the foot massage, sat himself on Kris's lap. His long legs draped over Kris's thighs and his hand found its way to Kris's waist.

"My mum is gonna come in-" Kris tried to say, but he got cut off by Sehun kissing his cheek.

Sehun closed his eyes, smiling like a cat. "Can't you just enjoy yourself for once?" he asked, pleadingly.

Kris pushed Sehun off his lap. "Hey!"

"Shh, you," Kris whispered, putting a finger on the younger boy's lips. He went to the door and slid the bolt across. "I'm just locking the door."

He felt Sehun pull him onto the bed for a proper kiss - damn, I meant to initiate it - and smirked slightly. So impatient.
