Angel

Angel questioned why he was walking down the corridors to Charlie's room. He knew he didn't have to do it. He could have just let it be.

A few moments passed and he was at the princess's door. He sighed and knocked three times. His mind raced, trying to grasp a reason to not do this.

After what felt like an eternity of him reasoning and freaking out, a Vaggie opened the door groggily and infuriated all in one motion, "It's midnight."

"Yeah so," he crossed his arms.

It only fueled her anger, but before she could respond Charlie had butt in, "Is everything okay Angel?"

"Yeah, just wanted to talk," he looked at Vaggie with a disappointed face.

"You want to come in," Charlie offered.

Vaggie popped and looked at Charlie, "You want to let him in?"

"Yeah... I think it's better you treat someone nicely then maybe one day it'll be paid back," Charlie said timidly.

Angel huffed, but inside he was taken aback by the kindness of Charlie. No other demon he met had ever been so optimistic, "Look it doesn't matter to me if I come in or not."

Vaggie had let out an aggravated sigh and got out the door way and sat down. Angel walked in after and sat across the room. Charlie was wrapped in a blanket, which Angel assumed was to keep her warm, ironically.

"So Charlie, I had an idea," he held in a long sigh.

Charlie looked a little anxious, yet eager to hear it, "What is it?"

"Well, I could do some 'work' to help pay for the hotel," his insides doubled over but he didn't let it show.

"No," she looked at him sternly but it was easy to tell it wasn't backed up by her emotions.

"I'm sorry but I'm not going a month without running water," he gave her the same look back which made Vaggie grimace.

Charlie frowned, "Angel, the hotel is supposed to be for avoiding that. It would completely defeat the purpose."

Angel knew that from the beginning, but he also wanted to help Charlie. He sat on a border and he needed to make a choice. "It would in that regard, but I'm also doing it to help."

"O-oh," she looked at Vaggie with a defeated frown.

Vaggie glared at Angel pissed off, "So you are offering to ruin the face of the hotel even more?"

"No," he sighed getting agrivated, "fuck, I just want running water and some actual food," he got up and started to leave.

"Angel, it's okay, if we don't get the money then," she sighed, "can help out."

"Good, because I'm getting tired of only having popsicles."
