Shadows of blood

The first wind

     Alpha dragged his paws along the forest floor green filling his heart. What he Did was wrong but it felt right. Leaving his old family and everything behind. He narrowed his eyes and kept walking as Shade, a grey male with antlers like him and tan spots and a brown underbelly lowered his head with him. Alpha sighed as he thought of what would have happened if he stayed in his old pack. He growled and started walking faster as he kept his eyes narrowed. No matter how much he tried he couldn't get them out of his mind. 

"You alright?" shade looked at him as Alpha nodded and kept walking. Shade was his best friend since birth he followed alpha everywhere. Two she wolves walked up from behind them. River a brown she wolf with a tan underbelly and white markings and blue items stood by alpha. Snow, a white she wolf with green and blue eyes followed as Alpha growled slightly to himself. 

"I wish You guys didn't follow, this is my problem, not yours..." He kept walking as they followed.  

"You might have lost them but you haven't lost us, its obvious you keep them in your heart no matter how hard you try to forget." Shade looked at him. Alpha sighed and looked back at him. 

"Even though I left it felt like loosing a peace of me I didn't even know I have, but once I left i saw what their true selves were." He lowered his ears and sat down. 

"maybe we should camp here.. Me and river will go get some wood for a fire..." Snow sighed as her and river bounded away to find wood. Shade sat next to Alpha as alpha turned his head away. 

"Listen, I lost my father and my mother, You don't know how much i miss being in the pack but thats life, life isn't always fair and this is our destiny. We can't change it." He looked down at Alpha who looked up forward at the tiny creek. River returned and set some wood down. She turned back to look for snow. 

"And.. I think River has a crush on you.." Shade smirked and looked down at him. Alpha's tail suddenly wagged but he looked back at it and stomped it down harshly and slumped over with a eye roll. 

"I don't and won't like anyone for a long time after violet." He rolled his eyes as shade nodded and walked off to the creek. Alpha's eyes softened very slightly as he looked at river. She was so graceful. Her graceful walk and her smile. He blushed very slightly but turned his he'd to hide it. 

"I have an idea." Alpha stood up as everyone looked at him. "We need to create our own pack. make dens, make a village, and it will be different from our old packs. We will be a family." He stood on a rock as River and Shade smiled. Snow nodded as Alpha held his head up high. The sun shown through the trees and shinned down on them. 

"We will be known as the First wind pack." Shade looked up at him and alpha nodded. 

It's time to rise up.
