"Here he is, the comedic genius himself, Richie Tozier!"
The voice boomed over the speakers as the crowd cheered. The screams and claps echoed through the room as the man himself took the stage. He took a deep breath, waving a hand to the audience as he grabbed the mic stand and looked over the crowd. It was always interesting to see how his live shows would go. He always had to stick to the same material and he hated it. He got discovered because of his own comedy not his managers but in the professional world it had to be done.
"So my girlfriend caught me masturbating to her friends Facebook page... and uh, now I am a part of masturbators anonymous" He started as always, wishing it would end already.
Being on tour was great and it was the dream of a lifetime for any comedian but it was also tiring, especially when the comic wasn't proud of his work. Richie missed writing his own material but apparently even though it was 2015 making certain jokes about being himself wasn't allowed. How fun it was to have to hide himself from the world but that is a story for another time.
As Richie recited his lines he allowed his eyes to be set on an empty seat in the front row marked reserved. His shows were always sold out except for one seat which he always had reserved but he didn't exactly know for who. A reserved seat for someone who he didn't know who or why he reserved it for- how insane.
"Thank you all for comin' out tonight. Personally from my trashmouth to yours, goodnight!" He said after his hour act was up.
"Rich job well done" His manager spoke proudly.
"Yeah. I mean obviously it isn't that hard parroting lines back to an audience" Richie groaned out as he sighed, walking into his dressing room. As he walked in he tried to shut the door in his managers face however the bastard caught the door before it hit him.
"You will thank me one day Richard."
"I told you not to call me that Joseph." His eyes darted up as he looked at the small male from his seat. His leg bouncing as his body began to fill to the brim with frustration.
After hearing Richie's tone of voice he sighed and raised a hand to his cheek. His legs slowly finding their way between Mr. Tozier's. "Oh come on Richie.. you know I'm only teasing you"
"Get off me."
"I beg your pardon? Remember who you are talking to."
Richie hated this. He hated this so much but then again it was what he had to put up with. He wasn't allowed to write his own material because he would 'expose' himself to the public eye, yet he was allowed to be harassed by his fucking manager? Jesus what a sick joke that fucking was and people wondered why he was an alcoholic.
Richie turned his face away as it was grabbed and he kept his eyes on the ground. "I made you Rich. Remember who got you this tour" He shivered as Joseph whispered by his ear. Once he felt the male let go of his face he kept his eyes averted, letting him exit.
Richie Tozier finally got the courage to stand and lock the door after a few minutes. He hated this feeling of emptiness. He felt like he was missing something beside him. Maybe not something but someone? He wasn't too sure but someday letter A seat 5 would be filled.
"Mr. Tozier. We have to go Mr. Tozier"
The knock on the door echoed in his mind as he stayed silent.
"Mr. Tozier, please. If we want to make it to Manhattan easily and without traffic. You have a morning show." The voice spoke worriedly, the knocking growing more frantic.
"Mr. Tozier? Richie?"
"Ricardo let's go!" A voice boomed in his head. His eyes widened and his heart began to race.
