Knock knock
"Come in" I answered
The door to my office opened and in came Jazmine, my assistant.
"Ms Parker the files you wanted are here"
"Ok put them on my desk, thank you Diana"
She put them on my desk and walked to the door
"Oh, Jazmine send in Ben here please"
"Yes Ms Parker" she closed the door.
I really needed a message and a vacation, but with people messing up even when I'm around, I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon.
Another knock came on the door
"Come in"
Ben entered
Ben is a photographer for charisma magazine, one of the best photographers, but I don't know if he has an ego issue or or he thinks because he's the best he can't get fired.
"Sit down", I painted to one of the chairs in my office.
"What do you need Ms Parker?"
"I need you to give me the photos I've been asking you for the past week and a half".
I was becoming angry thinking about this, I shouldn't have to go after him about these damn photos.
"They should have been at my desk by now Ben!"
"I know Ms Parker, and you'll get them", he replied with a smirk on his face.
"You are not the only photographer in the world Ben, If you can't do your job properly I'll get someone who can deliver on time".
The smirk fell off his face
"Ms Parker you can't do that".
"I will if I don't have the photos by tomorrow afternoon on my desk, close the door on your way out", I went back to my computer to check my emails.
I heard a small huff, the chair scrapping the floor.
"Yes ma'am".
The door opened and closed.
Idiot.
My cellphone rang, I picked it up to see who was calling me.
'bro💖'
"Hey baby", I greeted my little brother.
At 22 he was 5 years younger than me. He was my baby and my only sibling.
"Their you go again with this baby mess" he chuckled.
"How you doing though sis?"
"I should be asking you that Mr soon- to-be police officer"
Damian was about to graduate from police academy this Saturday, I was so proud of my baby.
"I'm just ready for this to be over, so I can do my job, you'll be there right?"
" Of course that's not even a question, I'll be there screaming for my baby".
"Uh-uh, You know what bye" he dropped the phone
Laughing I put my phone down
He'll always be my baby, even though he hates me calling him that, he better suck it up because I'm not stopping anytime soon or at all.
It was going to 5 o'clock so I started to turn off my computer and pack my stuff and locked everything away.
Got up, checked my self on the mirror in my office, fixed my curls a bit then opened the door.
Jazmine was getting ready to leave as well, the office was nearly empty.
"Alright see you tomorrow Jazmine" I walked passed her to the elevators.
"Have a lovely night Ms parker" she smiled.
I got on the elevators pressed the basement parking.
I definitely need a bubble bath and a glass of wine after this long day.
The elevator dinged and opened and I got off to find my Mercedes.
