A Night at the Prom

Chapter 2

After the bell had rung, Kankri had just left his literature class and began to go to his english class. But along the way, he couldnt help but spot Latula Pyrope who was gathering her skateboard and her books from her locker. Kankri would lecture her about not having a skateboard with her otherwise it would break school rules but when it comes to Latula, he couldnt help but not bother to break her ears off with his words. His heart began to pound hard as now was his chance. She was all alone and no one looked like they were going to go chat with her, so now would be the time to ask her the question. He just hoped no one else asked her out to the prom yet. As he began to walk towards Latula, he couldnt help but hear the words "Gang way!" as Kankri turned around, only to get ran over by Mituna who crashed into him.

Mituna was then ontop of Kankri as his hand was pressed up against the back of Kankri's head.

"Oh shit. Sorry KK. I lost all control of my skateboard after doing that sweet ollie!". Mituna could hear some muffled grumbles from Kankri, but couldnt be heard correctly as his face was on the ground. Latula then walked over to the two and extended her hand to Mituna.

"Whoa, sweet wipeout there babe! that was like 101% off the rad scale bro~!" she chuckled as she lifted Mituna off of Kankri, but not even bothering helping out the young vantas that was on the ground. Kankri then lifted himself off the ground as he pulled off his hankerchief, wiping his face off from the dirt. He was about to say something but Mituna cut him off.

"So babe, i was wondering.....Theres this...you know prom thats going on and i was wondering if you wanted to go with me to the prom?" he said as he brushed the back of his helmet. Kankri then began to choke on his own words before he could speak. He was shocked to hear that Mituna already beat him to the punch. He was only hoping that Latula would say no.

"Sure baby! it would be hella rad dude! pick me up at eight alright?" She said as he gave Mituna a kiss on the cheek and then turned her attention to Kankri. "Oh. Sup Kankri dude. Didnt see ya there. Wassup?" She said as he gave him a very wide smile. Kankri was very depressed as he didnt know what to say. He honestly felt like crying but at the same time he knew this probably would have happened. "Oh uh....N-nothing Latula...just uh....wanting to let you know just to be careful if you do intend on using your skateboard." Without a reply from Latula, Kankri turned his back on her and started to quickly walk off.
