Lia's POV
It was 9:00 am in the morning. It was a Saturday. I was in my room thinking about everything that had happened in the past years. I met a boy named "Niall Horan." He said he was just starting in a band, little did i know it would be one of the most famous bands today. We did almost everything together, it was a lot of fun! We would make sleepovers and eat a bunch of popcorn.
Niall was the type of guy that would always be there for you and listen. He was a year older than me. He was my best friend. Maybe even a bit more, we had our little awkward moments. I remember in a party we were playing truth or dare and we ended up kissing... It was amazing. Little did i know he would end up completely shutting me out. So it all started two summers ago... He had told me he was going on tour with the boys, "aww Niall I'm going to miss you so much!" I had told him. You need to text me at least every two days! "I will Love! I'm going to miss you so much, but i'll try my best to stay in contact!" Niall had said. LIES, LITERALLY ALL LIES!
The first week... we texted, face timed, and called each other almost every day. Until one day he just stopped... He stopped texting, stopped answering my calls/texts, and never even bothered to try and contact me through twitter! I spent months just crying myself to sleep... He was my best friend! Now i was just some pathetic 19 year old loner. He was one of the few people in this world that actually understood me! I guess he cared more about his fame than his own best friend. What a jerk!
Lia! My mum interrupted my thoughts. Yes? I called back. Come here for a sec i have some news to tell you. I wonder what the news could be? I thought to myself. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and then i took a quick shower. Lia? I heard my mum call out. I'll be there in a minute! I called back. I put on some warm clothes and left the room.
I went down the stairs and reached my mum. Whats up? I asked. Well you're father and I are going to go away to Italy for 4 weeks. My mum said. Oh thats cool! Why? I asked. Well, you're dads boss told him he had to go to Italy for a few weeks to do some work there, so he gave him 2 tickets. Oh, i said. When are you leaving? I asked. In a few minutes, we already have our bags packed. She said. I'll miss you sweetie! Don't forget to call us! Mum said.
The words "don't forget to call us!" Made me shiver. It reminded me of the last time i saw Niall. Lia let it go! Stop thinking about it! I thought to myself. Of course i'll call mum! I answered. I heard my dad come down the stairs. Well sweetie were going to go now! Stay safe and call us if you need anything! Dad said. I kissed both of them goodbye and went to the kitchen to make waffles.
I put my hair up in a bun and started looking for the ingredients. After i was done cooking i sat in the couch and started eating my waffles. I picked up my phone and went on twitter. "Niall Horan" i searched. I started reading his latest tweets and i felt a tear drop. Yes ill admit, i missed him like crazy! I know i should just move on but the memories are still there... And it hurts. I remember when we went to a party together.
*flashback* c'mon Lia its your turn! Truth or dare? Angie told me. Hmm dare! I dare you to... Kiss NIALL!!! I could feel my cheeks burn and turn bright red. Do it Lia! I looked at Niall with wide eyes and embarrassment. He was laughing and pointing at my cheeks. Go ahead love, he said. I got closer to him and... Our lips connected. it felt so right and for a second all my problems were gone. Everything felt like a dream. Niall had kissed back and before we knew how long we were kissing we got interrupted by the group. Dang you guys were at it! Our group of friends told us. Niall's cheeks were soo red! I laughed. He gave me a cheeky grin and winked at me. *end of flashback*
"Lia don't be pathetic!" I thought. I whipped my tears away and ate the last piece of my waffle. I put my phone down and turned on the tv. I put on Netflix and started watching my favorite show "pretty little liars."
