A/N:
If you've bothered to read the description, you know I have absolutely no idea what I just wrote. You were my world
The strongest one of all
You were invincible
Nobody could touch us
You were my only
And then you weren't
But still you held onto me
Unwilling to let me go
To let me find my wings
And fly
I had to leave you
My brother
Why?
Why did I turn on you?
You didn't ask why
You didn't say goodbye
You could only cry
When I left you
In the rain
I never meant to hurt you
I needed freedom
You of all people should have known that
Or perhaps you already understood
But refused to believe it
Maybe you'd hoped I wouldn't have your ruthlessness
Maybe you just wanted a friend
Maybe you thought I'd stay for ever
But this I do know
It had to end
Eventually
Sooner or later
In the rain
It didn't have to be this way
We can still be friends
But you shut me out
You shut everyone out
You shut the world out
We both lost something that day
I lost my older brother
You...
You lost my friendship, my loyalty, my trust
I'm offering it again
But you know it won't be quite the same
Not after the war
What you did to me
And I to you
But
I know you
Your determination
Your courage
Your strength
You're not invincible
But
We can try
This time,
I promise
It won't end
In the rain

In The Rain
PoetryI have no idea what this is. I wrote it in my English classes for something to do. It's basically from America to England, about and after the Revolutionary War. Review and tell me if it sucks okay? I NEED THE CRITICISM
