As the ball was flying in the air, Roonie caught it just in time to win the game. The celebration could be heard from the next street over as she was hugged by her teammates. She was walking to her dads car when she found herself in the otherside of the dugout. The white dugout making the red on Jenna's jersey pop out like a highlighter. She stared in amazement as she saw her aginst the dugout with Cadence's, Jenna's best friend, boyfriend kissing her neck. She was running around of the side of the dugout to go to the car to process what she just saw when she saw Cadence skipping out of the dugout and making her way to her, looking around saying,"Hey Roon, have you seen Jenna?"

"Uhh no, sorry Cadence, maybe she left?" Her response shocked her. She knew she shouldnt have lied about it, but it was as if an instinct. She sighed as she saw Cadence shrug and walk over to her mom to question her. Eyes wide, she started walking to the car.

"Hey nice- what's wrong rocket?" Her dad asked concerned. Ah that old nick name. I cant believe I cant live it down, she thought.

"Its nothing just," she heaved a defenseless sigh," I saw something today, something that I shouldnt have seen, and now the girl who I was being to be friends with might get hurt and i dont know if i should tell her."

"Hey Roon-" her younger sister stopped mid-sentence seeing her dads concern and her sisters lack of a smile. "What happened?"

"Its nothing. You're too young to understand, dont worry about it," she snapped. "I'm so sorry Vi, I didn't-" then the door slammed. She slumped in the seat and let out a groan. "Today is terrible."

Her dad gave a sympathetic smile, "You just are having a bad day, Roonie."

"Yeah, a bad day."

The next week was worse. She felt guilt every time she talked to Cadance or even seen her in the hallways with Dylan. She couldn't help but think she should intervene.

It was finally friday and the softball team was in the locker room. "So I heard a certain someone was coming in for this game," Brooks winked at Roonie.

"Not that I know of. I'm sorry B."

"Its fine, maybe next time?"

"Maybe."

It was mid game and Brooks was at the plate. She breathed in and then it happened the sound of the ball hitting the bat, the calming melody made her run faster and then as she got out at 1st base she yelled.

"OH MY GOD NO!"

"What?" Both teams rushed over to the fence and they saw it. Jenna was kissing Dylan. Roonie looked over at Cadance and she saw tears.

As she walked off the feild after the lost game, she could only think one thing, I should have told her.
