"It's been a year now since I have been a cop,so why do they make me just there coffee girl,"Lexandra thought
Lexandra handed Mr.Yagami his coffee. He smiled at her then went back to work.
Suddenly cops started rushing out of the station wearing gear.
"What's happening,"Lexandra asked Mr.yagami who was chief of police.
"A man named Kurou Otoharada is keeping teachers and students In hostage,"Mr.yagami said.
"I'll go get my gear,"Lexandra said.
Mr.Yagami nodded and let her go to get her gear. She then ran to the car feeling her heart race.
"This is my chance,to prove to them that I can do more than getting coffee,"Lexandra thought.
Lexandra ran to her car as she seen her partner Matsuda running after her. He jumped into the car.
"Wow this is gonna be our big break,"Matsuda said.
"Yeah, finally right!"Lexandra said going to the school.
When they got there they rushed out of the car seeing the other police officers heading in the school.
"Huh, what's going on?"Matsuda said as he followed Lexandra in the school.
Then the man that was keeping the hostages clasped against the floor.
Lexandra gasped.
"Is he dead or knocked out?"Lexandra questioned herself.
Her and Matsuda watched as they dragged the man out.
"This is so odd,"Matsuda said.
Lexandra got back into the car as Matsuda done the same.
"Well that made the job easier, no hostages got hurt,"Matsuda said.
"Yeah..,"Lexandra said feeling that something was not right.
When they got back to the station, everyone was talking about how the man had a heart attack.
Lexandra sat at her desk. She couldn't stop thinking about it. The Coincidence of that happening was one out of a million.
"I'm just overthinking this..right?"She questioned her self.
She then seen it was time for her to go home.
"Wow,time does go by fast,"She thought and chuckled a bit pushing in her chair.
She walked to her car and started driving home, on the way she had to stop for gas.
She seen these men pushing this woman. She started walking over towards them.
"Hey, what do you think you're doing!"Lexandra yelled as the woman got away from their grasp.
The guy chased after her as a truck went by a smashed his bike into pieces he went flying through the air.
Lexandra went running towards the girl as she cried.
"Its ok, I work for the police I seen everything, we'll make sure your ok,"Lexandra said as she got her cell phone out and called Mr.Yagami.
When they arrived the man who got hit had died.
"Well at least you were here to report this,"Mr.Yagami said patting Lexandra on the back.
Lexandra nodded and walked back to her car. She started it up and headed back home.
"What a day,"She thought as she got to her house.
She unlocked the door and seen her cat kenny rushed over to her.
"Hey, did you miss me,"Lexandra said petting the cat and taking off her gear.
Lexandra walked to her bed and put on her black and white pajamas.she collapsed on her bed and drifted off to sleep.
When she woke up, she ate some cereal and turned on the tv.
"Tons of people,no of tons criminals have died of heart attacks last night!"The news anchor said as Lexandra shot up.pouring cereal all over her clothes.
"Dang it!"she yelled as her cat started licking up all of the cereal.
The phone started going off as she ran to it she slipped almost falling face first into the wet floor.
"Aaah,"she screamed.
She pushed back up and ran to the phone.
"Yes, hello?"Lexandra said.
"Did you hear about the criminals dying from heart attacks yet?"Her dad said.
"Yeah, but I have to get to work right away ,so can I call you back soon?"Lexandra said.
"Talk to you soon then, good luck my angel,"Her dad said as he hung up.
She quickly cleaned up and got her outfit on.As she ran out the door, she locked up.
"See you soon kenny,"Lexandra said
Kenny meowed as Lexandra jumped in the car heading to work.
When she got there she parked on the side and got out of the car racing towards the building.
She opened the door seeing Matsuda and Mr.Yagami heading towards her.
Mrs.Begley you and Mr.Matsuda are going to a meeting with me to discuss the recent heart attacks.
When they got there they sat down talking about the criminals dying all in one night. They all sat down, with confused and frustrated faces.
Lexandra dazed off until she heard the name L.The court got quiet as Mr.Yagami started explaining L to Matsuda.
"L is a detective that only takes on certain cases and he is the best of the best,"Mr.Yagami said.
"Wow, L is gonna be on this case.Then I was right, there is something Severe about these criminals dying,"Lexandra thought.
Lexandra has looked up to L ever since his first case and he is the reason why she wanted to be a cop or possibly a detective.
A man came out dressed in black. Lexandra couldn't see his face but then she figured it out rather quickly, like an old memory suddenly coming back to her, she who he was.Watari a man who helps L with his cases.
Lexandra's ears perked up and her eyes stayed on the man dressed in black.
"L is already taken on the case,now please be silent"Watari said.
Everyone stayed silent, where you could hear the slightest of things, even the drop of a pen or drop if water bouncing off a metal sink.
"L is now ready to speak,"Watari said.
Lexandra almost fell out of her seat,she was so nervous.
"What is he gonna say?"Lexandra thought worried feeling her hand go numb on how hard she was gripping the bottom of her seat.
He opened the laptop and a giant L symbol went across a screen.
"Greeting to all of you at the ICPO I am L,"He said.
Lexandra felt her heart race she was so scared.
"The difficulty of this case lies in its unprecedented scope and make no mistake were witnessing an atrocious act of mass murder one that is unforgivable,"L said.
Lexandra almost forgot to breathe as she looked at matsuda who seemed to be very confused at L's words.
"This case cannot be solved without full. Cooperation of the ICPO, that is all of the police organizations representing throughout the world.you need to make the decision to be apart of the organization at this meeting, also. I acquire full cooperation from Japan's police station,"L said.
Mr.Yagami, Lexandra, and Matsuda stood up.
"Why japan in particular?"Mr.yagami asked.
Lexandra's head was spinning. She was shocked that L picked them.
"Well If the guilty party is an individual or a group there is a strong possibility that there japenese,"L said.
"What is all this based on,"Mr.yagami questioned.
"All of the people that have died of heart attacks has been in japan,"Lexandra thought.
"Why Japan you ask, I will answer that after I directly confront the company,"L said.
"A direct confrontation?"Mr.Yagami questioned.
"At any rate, I would like to set the company in japan,"L said ignoring Mr.Yagami.
Lexandra sighed and nodded thinking about working with L.
After the meeting when L sent everyone home after two hours. Lexandra drove back home watching everything hoping this time no one dies in front of her.
She got home unable to stop thinking about working with L.
"So far one hundred criminals have died of heart attacks,"She thought.
She remembered most of the peoples names. There were no patterns in the names so far.
"I am not gonna be able to sleep tonight,"Lexandra said out loud.
Her cat jumped up into her lap as she sat on the couch.
She signed and turned on the TV. Seeing five more criminals had died.
"Even if they do minor crimes, they still die and what about their families,"Lexandra thought.
Lexandra remembered she had to call her dad back. She picked up her phone and waited. It was only eight so he should pick up.
"Hello,"Her dad said.
"Hey dad, how was your day,"Lexandra asked.
"It was ok, I bet not as bad as yours or stressful at the least,"her dad said.
Lexandra seen a flash of something on her TV.
"Um, yeah it was interesting,"Lexandra said Staring at her Tv.
"So found anything out about the deaths yet,"Her dad asked.
"I wish I could tell you but it's confidential,"Lexandra said.
"Well It seems like your turning into a little detective,"Her dad said.
Lexandra laughed
"Not yet but I have gotten more respect, I'm not just a coffee girl anymore,"Lexandra said and chuckled.
"Well I'm proud of you and I love you,"Her dad said.
"I know dad, I love you too but its getting pretty late so talk to you Tomorrow,"Lexandra said.
Lexandra on the couch still in her police outfit as her cat cuddled beside her. Lexandra dazed off to sleep.when she woke kenny was playing with a cat toy.
She went to the kitchen and made herself a cup of coffee. She always liked her coffee black but with a lot of sugar. She sat on the couch the TV was still on.
The lady on the news was freaking out again.For a professional anchorwoman you think she would be more mature.
"There have been 29 more deaths over night!"She said.
Lexandra sighed and walked to her car putting down the empty mug. She pet kenny and walked to her car fixing her hair into a bun.
Lexandra got to the station and everyone was going nuts saying there was L on TV. That's his name was Lind.L.Tailor.Saying that L was confronting this so called "kira" who had been killing all of the criminals.
"Kira I will hunt you down,I will find you,"Lind said.
"This isn't L, he wouldn't go public like this.This must be a test,"Lexandra thought panicking.
"What your doing is evil,"Lind said.
Lexandra stopped thinking and stood looking at the TV in horror who knows what this Kira is capable of..
All of a sudden Lind had a heart attack.everyone gasped as Lexandra cupped her mouth, her heart sunk down deep in a bottomless pit and she let one tear go down her face.
Then an L went across the screen.Lexandra looked at it shocked.
"I knew L wouldn't have risked it!"Lexandra said out loud.everyone sighed in relief.
"I had to test this just in case but I-I never thought it would actually happen,Kira it seems you can kill people without having to be there in person,"L said.
Lexandra thought about everything L was saying.
"How did Kira do that?"Lexandra questioned.
"I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't had just witnessed it, listen to me Kira, If you did indeed kill Lind.L.Tailor the man you just saw die on television I should tell you that he was an Inmate,"L said.
Lexandra sat down taking all this, this is the man she looked up to, she had no doubt that L was going to take Kira down.
"His execution was scheduled for today,that was not me.The police arrested him in absolute secrecy so you wouldn't have heard about him on TV or through the internet,"said L.
"It appears that Kira doesn't have access to these types of criminals,"Lexandra thought.
"I assure you L is real, I do exist. Now try to kill me!"L said.
Lexandra couldn't stop moving in her seat.her heart had stopped again.
"Aw what's wrong, come on right now, kill me. What's a matter can't you do it!"L said.
Everyone went crazy again.Lexandra was being shaken by Matsuda but her eyes and ears were on the screen.
"Lexandra can you believe this!"Matsuda said.
Lexandra scooted closer to the screen
"Well Kira it appears you can't.you have gave me a useful hint, let me return the favor I'll tell you something you might find interesting, we are only broadcasting in a certain region of Japan so I now know where you are,"L said in a cocky tone.
Even through his voice mojalater was messing with his voice Lexandra could tell he was confident and Lexandra admired that.
"So me and L had the same conclusion then. That's the first murder was a man named Kurou Otoharada and that Kira was certainly in japan and the same area,"Lexandra said to Matsuda.
"Wow,really that's so cool, do you think you could be a detective,"Matsuda said.
"I don't know yet,"Lexandra focusing on the TV.
"Which means you haven't been killing for very long,"L said. We decided to broadcast in kamoto Japan first and luckily we found you,"L said.
Lexandra smiled knowing this night was almost over and another case done in the hands of L.
"To be honest I never expected things to go this well..but it won't be too long now before I'm able to sentence you to death,"L said.
"You can answer all of my questions when I catch you,"L said.
Then the TV turned back to the news.
Lexandra took In all that happen and all the cops went back to the seat as watari walked in and sat a Laptop down.
Lexandra was so nervous but stayed calm on the outside. She sighed as Watari opened the laptop and the symbol L appeared. Everyone started discussing the whereabouts of Kira and who he is.
Everyone was going over the victims.
Then Lexandra thought of something.
"The certain time range for the killings make it seem like Kira is a student,"Lexandra said.
"That's exactly what I was thinking Mrs.Begley,"L's voice said.
Lexandra forgot L was listening.
"He knew my name! Well of course he did, he has probably read my file a dozen times to make sure I'm not Kira,"Lexandra thought.
"We are dealing with someone who has a very child like concept of right and wrong,"L said.
"A possible since of justice or someone that thinks of themselves like a god,"Lexandra said not even fully aware she was talking.
"Yes, but that's only speculation,"L said.
"I really need to shut up," Lexandra thought.
"But we must consider every possibility for finding arresting Kira,now please continue with your report,"L said.
"So any further details,"Mr.Yagami asked.
Matsuda stood up.lexandra felt nervous for him.
"Yes not support Kira but there Is a massive decrease in crimes in the last week,"Matsuda said.
Everyone rolled their eyes and ignored Matsuda.
"Well we did suspect that would happen,"Mr.Yagami said.
"Any Further questions?...L?"Mr.yagami said.
"Only one question to the team, I would like to go back through all the victims that Kira has killed, be through as possible,"L said.
Lexandra stayed overnight Watari,Matsuda,and Mr.Yagami stayed there as well.
Lexandra yawned as Matsuda handed Lexandra a cup of coffee.
"Felt like you could use this,"Matsuda said.
